Fast and humane kill...no sufferring!
So, I did not want to kill the rats in my attic and crawl space...but it had to come to that. Im a big animal lover too. So, at first, I ordered 3 different cages from Amazon, returned 2. I bought a Ratinator from a feed store. It was 64.00 dollars. The dude raved it would catch a lot of rats at once. It did not work for me. It comes with a container u set cage in and drown them. Now thats cruel! Well caught 1 at a time and than 2 at one time, so a total of 4. Then rats got cage shy they call it. I also caught 4 with another small cage which I think rats started just setting it off because set lever was on top of cage. So after catching only 8 rats and releasing them, in a matter of 3 weeks, I finally couldnt deal with the scratching in the walls. And the mess they're making by knocking down insulation in crawl space. It was "a time to kill." So these traps are the best! Dont buy the wooden ones. I at first couldnt set traps myself, I felt bad. I paid my neighbor to do it. Well he didnt come to check and reset when he said would, so I said to myself grow some balls (im a female) and do it yourself. I went into crawl space and i saw exactly what I didnt want to see. A rats leg caught in the wooden trap with ants eating the leg and he was still alive. Dammmit! I yelled for my other neighbor, who was a little bit tipsy, and it took him 3 shots with his pellet gun to put the poor thing out of his misery. I was freaking out a little. Anyway, no more wooden traps! U have to put bait on the trap so the trap can kill the rat fast and humane as possible. I think he just set trap in pathway. So I threw the wooden ones away and got these Snap Traps. These are fantastic. I set 4 in my crawl space one evening and came back the next evening with 3 perfect fast kills. One trap no go but i think it was the location. So i got my neighbor to get rid of the dead rats. He just threw rats up in a field where theyd be eaten by coyotes or other animals. I cleaned the traps and reset them. Use PEANUT BUTTER. The traps are easy to use but watch your fingers and pay attention to the trap on how u hold it. Treat it like rattlesnake. I set 4 up in my attic so ill look at them after work. The rats got in through an opening by the a.c. that I closed off 1 month ago and thats when the scratching in walls started. I should of set kill traps than but couldnt do it. I really tried to catch and set free as many as possible but I cant have my home damaged. So buy these traps. You wont be dissapointed. Oh! A service wanted 355.00 to inspect my home for holes, patch work not included. And 75.00 each time they came out to collect traps and reset. They would have needed to come out 3 times a week. They use these type of Snap Traps. I may need to get a service to thoroughly check for holes but not for no dam 355.00. And I guess we are suppose to be killing the rats. So the ones i released were heading to my neighbors, I think, because he was killing a lot of rats lately. He has a chicken coop. BUY THESE FOR A QUICK HUMANE KILL.

Aš šŖ¤ that works!
I have tried so many different traps, this is a good trap. If you are just starting this journey please do not use rat poison. What that does is dehydrate the rat and takes a long time to work and while they are dying they will travel in search of water into other peopleās yards that has pets. You will put others animals at risk in your neighborhood. The old fashion wood traps are hard to set and pain in the butt to remove the rat. The tunnel traps are ok, I think they are better for smaller rodents or toads. Yes the toads think itās a little home and will crawl in them. If you have dogs you know bufa toads can kill your pup. I am located in South Florida where I get both rats and toads so I use the combination of the tunnel traps and this trap I am now reviewing. I get more rats with this trap. The jaws are very powerful and itās easy to safely discard the rat without having to touch it. Cleaning the trap is a breeze and I love the bait station is removable to refill.Tips: place traps mouth against where they will run, like against a fence or wall. Check bait often and change after a day or 2x. If you donāt catch one in a few days, move the trap to another location. Keep traps away from access from bigger animals like your dog or neighborhood cat. If you have cameras, put the camera on them so you can monitor.Pros: This trap is not easily triggered so your random lizard will not set it offCons: not good for mice, they are too small to trigger the his trap. Caught my rodent after one week
There has been a rodent in my backyard, ravaging my poor veggie babies. I placed a small amount of chocolate flavored peanut butter in the removable circle trap. It caught a rat, approximately the width of the trap, after a week. I triple bagged it and discarded it in the waste. I did not reuse the trap because the other rodents would smell the trap and avoid it. It works well and is a great value for your money. It did not hurt my backyard bird pets since I pointed the trap towards the wall. Great design. It is durable especially when water contacts it.

Good trap, but not for the squeamish.
I purchased both the trap and attractant. Worked immediately! The only issue was that two rats were caught at the same time. One died instantly and one was clearly suffering. I threw the whole trap out with dying rat. Trap works well, but not for the squeamish.

100% EFFECTIVE
Finally ācaughtā the MONSTER that ate not one but TWO serpentine belts in my car. I was livid when I found out that a rat or rats had chewed through my vehicles belt and was a pricey replacement. I put a few glue traps with zero success and then my Toyota started to act up and sure enough, another chewed belt. I was done, I was mad. I bought a bunch of wooden snap traps, put peanut butter and came out to ALL traps flipped over, no catch and all peanut butter gone. Before calling an exterminator, I decided to try this big boy snap trap. Put peanut butter and waited⦠and waited.. Then⦠I looked at my trap today and OH MY JESUS, I just saw the belly and thought I caught a cat until I saw the rat tail and screamed so loud. My husband had to do the dirty work but, letās just say, the snap trap did the deed. Idk how badly you want to clean this trap and reuse it, but if your catch was the size of my house guest, just throw the whole thing away and buy another. 10/10 recommend, the king of the rats will not be returning to his castle, but I am ordering more incase his royal subjects try to visit.
