Fun, Underrated Rival Blaster
This gun is an underrated gem among the Rival armory. For reference, I have used ten different manual Rival guns, and this one is my and my son's favorite. It has a shotgun-style slider cocking mechanism, and the clip installs beneath the gun. The bottom of the OEM clip has a rubber cap, so you could actually use it as a stabilizer for semi-prone shooting (the clip extends a ways below the gun). The trigger is admittedly not soft enough to be a sniper-style one, but it is still fun to shoot.I can confirm that the blue Accu-rounds are more accurate than other Rival rounds, and it is possible to legitimately sight-in this gun. However, the adjustable sights are really touchy, and you can easily bump and mess them up through regular handling. The only other gripe I have is that OEM replacement ammo clips do not exist. I bought my son a 12-round clear clip for reloads, but it's not the same feel or look.Still, this Nerf Rival Pathfinder is a joy to shoot, and makes indoor target plinking a real possibility. We were shooting a 3 in. target at 30 ft., no problem. Be advised the gun is specified for "14+," which confirms it's not the easiest gun to cock. It's a bit difficult for my 7 year old. Also, the fixed shoulder stock is not a true length, so it won't naturally reach your shoulder for prone shooting. Cycling rounds with the provided clip has never yielded double or failed cycles of the ammo. Its underrated nature, unique style, and reliability make this a fun and highly affordable Rival blaster.

Best nerf gun
Nerf Rival is my 13 year old's favorite nerf line of guns. Fast, accurate, and fun! He loves this one.

I have a couple dozen Nerf blasters but this is the first time I had to review one!
I only have this for one day so far. I have never had a Nerf blaster this accurate before. I am consistently hitting a target the size of a quarter from 12 feet away with this blaster. I have not adjusted the sight at all since unboxing. I don't know if this will degrade over time, mine is still brand new. I don't know if I got a one of a kind magical Nerf blaster. All I know is that I have never been so satisfied with a Nerf blaster's accuracy before and target shooting is how I personally enjoy these toys. I have no one to war with so plinking is what I got. If you are a plinker too GET THIS TOY!One major caveat though. The magazine for this blaster is proprietary to this line alone. By that I mean even other Nerf mags on the market will not work with this blaster because of a design change that *can* be modded, but why? Hopefully Hasbro will sell aftermarket mags that work with these new precision blasters. It was a poor decision to do this IMHO especially when there are no new Hasbro magazines that can be purchased separately to allow for ready to load extra mags. Not going to take a star away for this but only because the blaster itself is so superb.

Most accurate Nerf system.
Nerf's new system excels in flat-shooting accuracy, making it a fantastic choice for those seeking precision. It's immensely enjoyable for both play and target shooting. However, it shoots harder than traditional dart systems, which might not be ideal for younger children or those apprehensive about soft projectiles. My family sees it as a significant upgrade from our previous dart play. The interchangeable magazine and pump action for quick reloads add to the fun of this NERF Rival Pathfinder.

HIGH POWER - wear eye protection
Our two kids love nerf and this device is really interesting - switching to squishy balls allows them to fire at a high rate with a lot of power, but you don't see the ammo falling apart as quickly as can sometimes happen with darts. The machine look and feel is great, and the accuracy is good (though outdoors, with a windy day and distance, you can get a bit of drift).the power of this absolutely demands eye protection if you're in a combat situation, but it's a TON of fun

Satisfying
Was in the market for some nerf blasters for some fun around the house. Bought a few rival blasters along with this one for when we have friends and kids over our house and I can say I am more than sastified with almost all the rival blasters. This one shoots acurate at 30 ft using the blue accu-rounds provided. Tried other rounds found on Amazon and it made it a bit less acurate. It shoots a bit harder than the chronos but still would be considered completely safe assuming you don't get hit in the eye (wear safety goggles). The pump action may be harder for younger kids. The stock is a bit short and could be improved. Seems lide a solid build, but thinking of getting another one just in case this one breaks.

Great nerf gun
This is a good gun for indoor nerf battles. It shoots pretty hard but not so hard that it hurts to get hit by it, you don't have to use the blue balls that come with it, it works fine with regular yellow ones, and the magazine fits with my other guns which is nice.
