nice system
this review is for my Bluetti system; AC200MAX, B230, and PV420 Panel: what really sold me on this system is the ability to expand the power storage, the amount of solar input that can go into it for charging, and the ability to use the system as shore power for an RV via the 30A output (AC200MAX).the quality of their products is very good, and the user interface is easy to navigate. i would like to see the ability to bluetooth into the B230 w/o having to hook it up to the AC200MAX. there are some reviews regarding the PV420's stand being flimsy, which it is. however, it is functional and keeps the weight of the panel down. if they beefed up the mechanism it would no doubt add weight, which is a negative IMO. just deal with the stand and you'll be good to go.regarding customer service; i have had to deal with them on 2 occasions. the first time with a defective PV420, and the second time with a defective B230, (bad luck i guess). on both occasions the issues were eventually resolved with new replacements. a few things to note; Bluetti has a separate customer service wing for Amazon purchases. all communication is by email. you will need to be patient throughout the troubleshooting process, as you will likely need to try different steps and take pictures along the way, as requested by the customer service rep. in both cases, i was assisted by Anson, who was very pleasant to deal with. upon performing logical troubleshooting steps, Anson arranged returns and shipment of new products. FYI, the PV420 had a defective panel in the array, and wouldn't provide adequate solar power for charging, and the B230 appeared to have only half capacity of the 2048WH, as if half of the batteries were defective or not connected properly. in both cases, replacements were sent out and the system now works as expected.overall i'm very happy with this system, and will likely add another B230 and PV420 panel. I also purchased the DC charging enhancer (D050S), which allows max charging for the system, and the ability to charge the B230 as a stand alone, with a solar panel.

Expanding Battery Expands the powered Universe.
I have been using Bluetti for less than a year. I bought the EB3A and a 200W panel for camping. It’s great! Does everything I need. I then bought a B80 the compatible expansion battery for remote camping and as back-up for home. My next buy was an AC180, something bigger for the house and camping in the ‘76 VW Camper. It also worked well with the B80. We had an extended outage at home. I asked what battery I could use with the AC180 and Dads AC200L.Bluetti suggested the B230. I just got it today. AC180 + B230 = 3200wh combined. Considering I can easily swap into the B80 for 800wh while I charge up the B230, and I have 4000wh available.Bluetti has been very helpful in my purchase decisions and customer service has been great when I experience operator error. Great products no matter what you buy.

NO customer support!
I purchased my blue Eddie AC 200 P a few months ago and I wanted to add an external battery so I bought the b230. Earlier in the week I tried on multiple occasions to contact Bluetti regarding information for this purchase about if it connects with cables I need so on and so forth left several messages on the chat no return from them and also when you call them it goes to voice mail and I says you can’t leave a message because all the voice mail boxes are full. Absolutely no support at all from bluetti . I received my external battery but the cable they sent will only work on a AC 200 max, as you can see by the picture the size of the cable and also the input on the generator. It won’t work. Tried calling them again didn’t get any information no one answered my calls or email me back regarding this.Oh I finally found a way to order the cable I needed, at least I hope it’s the cable I need at this point I’m not sure. But they said there is a wait it is on back order and I won’t get it until sometime in mid to late July. I’m using this for off grid camping which I’m doing now and cannot use my very expensive battery. Not happy with bluetti customer service. Extremely frustrating especially when you’re spending thousands of dollars with this company and they give you no support.

Here's the problem...
Bluetti makes a great product and in my opinion it's the most bang for your buck for these types of units. The issue with this expansion battery is that it only comes with a 3' cable that has two ends that are super awkward. As of Sep 2024, you can't buy a longer cable, you can't buy a 90 degree connector, you can't buy a coupler, nada. You're just stuck with a 3' awkward cable. If you have lots of room and you're just stacking the units, should be no problem. If you're trying to put them in a tight place (like a van or RV), or, if you need to have the main unit farther than 12" from the expansion battery, you may want to re-think things. Keep in mind the way the plugs are placed on the units makes it so they basically need to be stacked on top of each other.I'm contemplating splicing the cable (there are several wires inside it, not just two) but man, I just paid $1k for something I have to splice?
