This is a good way of connecting technology that is older and uses serial to your current monitor. the connection stays intact thanks to the screws on the serial connection side that stop the cord from dettatching. I wish the length of the cord was given in the description. The description was accurate to the product and it worked well for my needs. And the pricing is fair.

Works great for hooking up old serial-only devices to a modern computer. The status lights are a nice bonus. Have used it in a couple applications so far and it worked as expected.
