I've had the small Berkey I think it's called travel, for just about 10 years right now. I used it consistently & daily for about 8 years with the first original black carbon filter (Not recommended!) and then I kind of lost interest and I knew I needed a new filter and I kept putting it off and started buying plastic water bottles. What a waste! So I had this filter sitting around for a couple of months, and this "Earth Day" I recommitted to using it. The instructions are complete all the parts are there. Are ram water through probably three times before I tasted it and now it's been over a week and the water is just wonderful again what are difference between the tap and the Berkey filtered water! Highly approved! And there's two which means I might get another 10 years out of these!

Great replacement for Berkey filters. I REALLY didn't wanna dump $100 on filters from Berkey. We bought these, and they seem to filter just as well as factory filters. Granted I have not had lab samples sent in. Super easy to install and the nuts don't strip out as easily as some other. Leave clear clean tasting water.

Last filters were past due for replacement. They were filtering really slow. These filters work great

I had high hopes, but these filters are nothing like the Big Berkey filters. Except looking just like them, they're about half the weight. They pour water through them like a waterfall, whereas the Berkey filters create a slow drip. I checked to see if they were screwed in tightly enough and they were. And after running 8 full tanks of water through them, the filtered water still leaves a strange taste in my mouth. I wish the Berkey filters weren't so expensive, but these are not the solution sadly.

As others have mentioned, these do filter water in my Berkey much faster, as in a constant trickle vs. slow drip. And as other have also mentioned, it does pass the red dye test. However, I noticed that the trickle does subside to a slow drip after the upper chamber is down to about 1/2 full. For the price, you can't beat it. Keeping these!

Seems to work well. Fits my Berkey system!

These work great for the price on our Berkey Light water dispenser. However, we do have to change them more often than other filters, but still, worth the price vs. performance.
