Works well, impressed with the life span
Cannot recommend this light enough. Working remote in tech can mean many hours of staring a computer monitors, and this seems to help with some of the eye strain. Of course, having blue light filtering glasses helps. The touch controls are mostly useful, however, I usually press the auto button on the controller and leave it alone. After almost two years of use every business day, I'm quite impressed this hasn't died. For the price and how long it has lasted so far, I'm very impressed.

Absolutely wonderful!
This is my favorite desk light because it does not take up desk surface space, is pretty much hidden away visually, and is highly adjustable in terms of color temperature and brightness. The radio-frequency controller does take up space on the desk, but is a smaller footprint than a desk lamp. What I love most about this is the angle at which it shines the light on the surface of the desk. It does not produce any glare on the computer monitor that it sits atop of. Some lights in this category DO because the lighting is not angled properly, so you have to really read the product description and reviews to find ones that don't. This one was pricey, but I feel that it's well worth it.

Mac Studio Display 7mo in so far so good
I have no complaints so far and it’s been 7 months of consistent use every other day for work and study as a grad student. I’ve even had it on for as long as 24 hrs without turning it off multiple times and never had any issues! So it’s built to keep up with your needs! It also never gets hot thanks to the LED tech. I haven’t had any issues with flickering or it not turning on. It has always worked for me consistently.I don’t have my BenQ lamp directly plugged in to my monitor as a power source. Instead, I have it plugged into a small extension cord that has a USB port which I keep top of my desk. I recommend the Tessan brand extension cord sold on Amazon, the best hands down (can be mounted to wall or desk).I believe your BenQ lamp may flicker if you plug it into something that does not provide adequate power. I noticed when I have it directly plugged into my Mac Studio Display using a USB to USB-C adapter (since Apple only has USB-C ports) it sometimes flickers (which may indicate that my monitor is not a significant or consistent enough power source for it). However, plugging it into a stronger power source like an actual extension outlet with a USB port resolves that issue!Overall, it’s been a game changer! No more eye strain. I’m so glad I invested in this BenQ lamp with the remote control, though there is a cheaper model, I prefer this one for the fancy remote control touch dial that sits nicely on my desk. Definitely makes it feel more like a luxury product. I enjoy all the settings it provides like brightness, warm/cool lighting, backlit/front lit or both, etc. So many options to fit your work/study needs at all hours of the day! It’s been just what I need to do work all night long on those days when I really need to get things done.Whah attracted me to this product is the fact that it isn’t obnoxiously brought, meaning it doesn’t light up the entire room if you turn it on. It provides very focused light but not too focused or direct where it only lights up a certain part. It lights up my whole desk without lighting up the whole room if that makes sense? My desk is in our bedroom and I’m glad my partner is no longer bombarded with a ton of light like if I were to turn on the ceiling fan light or a traditional desk or floor lamp. The BenQ monitor lamp really provides more controlled lighting just where you need it!

More than I hoped for.
This light is a game changer. I just bought a second one for my husband. I love the no glare on screen, the ability to see my desktop and keyboard without additional light, and the backlight removing some of the normal eye strain I get from being in front of a screen.

Light good, remote bad
light bar works good, but the controller requires you to wake it up before you can do anyhing and it is very unresponsive. actual buttons would be a upgrade, take away the fancy features. waving my hands around trying to turn off a light that is suppose to be effortless, is pretty annoying, especially paying a premium

High quality but doesn't include power brick, no app, and wish the remote had internal battery.
The light is high quality and works well. As others have noted, you likely won't be able to plug it directly into your monitor's USB ports since it requires 10W of power. Also it doesn't include a charge brick so you'll have to already have one! The only other thing I have to complain about is the remote takes AAA batteries. At this price I would expect the remote to have an internal L-Ion battery that can be charged via USB-C. Regardless, the remote doesn't seem to drain batteries too fast so it's ok. There is also no app to be paired with it or the ability to set timers/schedules. That would've been a nice feature at this price point.
