Amazon eero Beacon mesh WiFi range extender (add-on to eero WiFi systems)

I added this beacon to my already set up eero 6+ and it works seamlessly! Very easy to install and excellent coverage and speed to all devices in the house! Around 80 devices

My home was built with concrete walls and internet is difficult to push the WiFi signal through those walls even with additional Eero routers throughout. This was a beautiful addition to my current system without the addition or hassle of added wiring. My outdoor ring cameras can now connect without issue as well. This is a great choice if you currently have an Eero hub (or more) and still need some added coverage without any hassles. Easy to connect and setup with current system. Glad I made this purchase.

Below is my review of the Eero but it incorporates everything you need to know about the Beacon:So I bought this to upgrade from my old Apple Airport Express. My modem supplied by Spectrum only has one ethernet connection as did the Airport Express. Due to COVID-19, I’ll be working out of my house and needed more Ethernet ports and increased bandwidth. Called Spectrum, upgraded my speed and bought the Eero router and one Beacon. I also bought an Ethernet switch to plug into the Eero - just Incase I need more ports.The installation of this was easy but definitely took me longer than 30 minutes. I literally had to re-pair all of my devices manually (MacBook Pro, iPhone, 3 echo dots, one echo & firestick) to this router which was time consuming. It did not recognize everything as some reviews.To get a clear picture of my setup: The modem is in my office which is in the front of my 1000 square foot condo built in 1982. I’ve always had horrible WIFI connectivity in the back half of my place.When I bought this router, I decided to also buy the Beacon because even with an extender with my old set up, my WIFI connection in the back half of my condo either drops or is very weak. That’s where I have my firestick, one echo dot & the echo is in the middle of my condo.I got the Eero first and once set up - experienced the same connectivity issues in the back of my condo. The firestick was constantly dropping or giving me a fair or marginal connection. Same with the echo dot in my master bedroom (which is in the back half of my condo near the firestick).The Beacon came today and the setup was so ridiculously easy - I was full blown excited. However, although it paired seamlessly to the Eero, it didn’t automatically signal everything in the back half of my condo. The solution? I re-paired the firestick, echo and echo dot in the back half of my condo and now it shows on the app the Eero is signaling the front half of my condo and the Beacon is signaling the back half. For the first time ever - I have 5 bars everywhere.I gave this an overall 5 star because the Eero WITH the Beacon is a beautiful combination. I gave the WIFI rating a 3 because the Eero is supposed to cover 1500 square feet and that was far from accurate in my 1000 square foot place.I suggest whoever buys the Eero to spend the extra money and buy the Beacon. The Beacon was the game changer. Little overpriced but worth the 5 bars. Say goodbye to dead zones with the Beacon.

I live in a house that is about 3,000 square feet with an attached 900 square feet mother in law apartment. I used Apple routers and extenders and was never able to get a decent wifi signal in the apartment. I eventually got a second dedicated internet connection for the apartment. That solved the problem.I decided to buy an eero router package for my home. The internet connections were as good or better than what I was getting with the Apple router. The eero beacon was on sale during the Amazon Prime day so I decided to take chance and see if the beacon could extend the wifi to the apartment. It took about 5 minutes to install and when I ran speedtest in the apartment it was faster than what I was getting with the dedicated internet connection. I took the router back to Spectrum and cancelled the second internet line. I saved $65 per month so my break even point is less than two months.The system is very easy to set up and runs without problems. I never get a buffering message on the TV. I have a total of 15 wifi devices connected to the system. This includes TV's, laptops, iPads, phones, Roomba's and Nest systems. It works exactly as described. Anyone that is on the fence about buying this unit should definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed. The phone application is easy to use and well designed.

Super easy to setup and signal strength is consistent over time. I've had this for 6+ months and it appears to be good quality and consistent speed but still some intermittent glitches with smart lights or tv. Can be good value for your money and easy to use with Eero app.

Had a customer that wanted to expand their eero network, but didn’t want a cord and router sitting on a table. These worked great. Even though they are only dual-band, their range and speed is very good and works seamlessly with their eero system.

I purchased an eero WiFi System for my father's 6000 square foot house due to signal difficulties he was experiencing, especially with FaceTime and Zoom calls. An IT person told me the only way to do this right was to hard wire the house, however the eero system did the job perfectly. I have 3 beacons strategically placed throughout the house and now I can have clear and reliable FaceTime and Zoom calls with my 91 year old daddy who lives all alone. It also helped with the stability of my Wyze cameras I have set up to keep an eye on him throughout his home. Thank you eero for this seamless and effective product. It set up in less than 10 minutes and my dad's internet signal is stable all over the house and property even outside. This is the most reasonably priced peace of mind I could ever find!
