The reason for buying a K+N filter is so that it is the last filter you will buy for the life of the vehicle. You have to clean them periodically K&N makes a cleaning kit just for that. The filter is then reinstalled . Oh the vehicle will breathe better and may also make a little more power.

The filter is exactly as described, and wasn't at the difficult part. The difficulty came from removing everything just to place the filter.

Freer flowing than stock
Using this on a 2012 Stratoliner/ Roadliner. Have a slip on exhaust and this piece gives the throttle a little more snap

Long Lasting but not easy
Although K&N filters are great, they do require maintenance. that being said if you don't mind after you have used it, Removing it washing let it dry and then re oiling it (but not too much) then it is fine.. I decided to buy a 2nd one to make this process easier and remove and exchange put the new in and service the old one at my time.
