Seem to work fine just don't pound in they might break getting them out.

Not top of the line but satisfied for the price. Tube hasn't frozen or cracked in below freezing temos. Stays flexible. Taps are also working as expected. Would buy again.

The diameter of the end the tube goes on is correct, but you have to experiment with what size to drill the hole in the tree to collect the sap without it leaking down the side of the tree. 1/4 inch is too big, so you need to almost drill a 15/64 the hole but then it goes in pretty hard and still leaks until the inside of the tap thaws in the morning. The tubing that comes with is rolled up so tight it is very difficult to get any amount of it to stay straight enough to use. some places were kinked to the point fluid would barely pass thru it.

The hose is a little to flexible and the the plastic taps are a little thin. Worked ok but more concerned with hose having kinks.

The spiles are not very strong and are a weird size. Not the standard 5/16" or 7/16". I had to use a 15/64" bit to even get them tight in the tree and they leak. I will be pulling these out and replacing with some real 5/16" spiles from a maple supply store. The only thing useful in this kit is the tubing.

I liked the idea of being able to cut my own length of tubing for the tap however the tap itself proved to have too narrow of a inside diameter and clogged easy. After discovery I was able to nip off the end of the tap for a better result. I would no and will not buy again.

Would not buy again, spiles are wrong size and do not fit a 5/16 hole.
