Like SNAPPY STRINGS? Yeah - they SNAP Easy!!!
I bought these to fit on my new (second-hand) banjo. Yes, they were pretty cheap but steel string guitar/banjo string technology has been with us for around 100 years and, as a classical violinist, bluegrass fiddler/guitarist, folk, country, rock, blues, jazz musician of some 50 years' experience I thought - well, what can go wrong with a basic set of strings???Turns out - everything!Since the age of 10 years old, I've been fitting, tuning and replacing strings on my instruments, so I've learnt what to do and what not to do, along the way. As a player, I know you can hit, bend and pull a steel string pretty wildly to get funky sounds, snappy (pun not intended!) folk, blues and country out of a guitar and, when playing country, you can easily bend both light and medium guage strings up more than a tone to get those pedal steel sounds....So I thought installing a set of basic banjo strings would be fairly easy.... Yeah!Firstly, the B String (II) snapped straight away, so I reverted to the old string-preserving skills I learnt as a teenager and wound a new loop (as there was plenty of spare string length)... and that's still holding. But secondly, the G (III) failed to tune to pitch and, with a series of grunts and snaps, dropped down to an octave below what I wanted. Keith Richards might have liked it - but I didn't.. and shortly after, the string loop snapped off completely. So now I've got a half-strung banjo ... and a wasted half hour...Guess I'll just be playing the remaining 3 strings tonight then?Funnily enough, I've never been a fan of the Rotosound srings on (electric) guitar, either, preferring Ernie Ball. Guess I'll be raiding Amazon again tonight for some new banjo strings... but NOT THESE!!!Hope this helps!

SNAPPED - SNAPPED - NOT GOOD!
Bought two packets of these. The fifth string snapped at F# - so close! OK no problem - I've a spare set. The second time around the string got up to G and then after five minutes as the banjo was resting on its stand the string snapped! God knows what would happen if you overtuned them to allow for them to settle in. These strings come with little rubber hoops upon them but both the 5th and the 2nd string have a white loop. There is no guide on the packet to tell you the difference in tension of these strings. You have to feel for the thickness yourself, selecting the thinner one - not helpful. Both the D strings are coloured red, however it's easier to tell the difference as one is wound and the other not. Also to my ear the sound is a little tinny. So these strings are very sensitive, with suspect tension. Clearer instructions would be helpful. Buyer beware.

Cheap version for cheap price
You pay for what you get. The little coloured beads on the strings didn’t correspond in any way to the guide on the pack. Online tutor suggested bending already wound loops to make for easier fitting but even with care they snapped. So fiddly job of twisting new loops Took best part of hour to fit the five strings as a result. Will look for more expensive sturdier options next time

Poor quality, loop end snaps easily
Bought these as I wanted to try some other gauges and brands. During restringing of my open back banjo, two strings snapped right at the loop end before even getting to the correct pitch.Poor quality, stay away!
