I bought this to use with Dungeons & Dragons. The grid is 1" which is perfect for use with miniatures. I use two sticky dots on one side to hold it in place and stick white paper underneath from the other side. I can slip in and out maps and use dry erase on top if/when I need. Mine actually came with a .75" circular ding/mark in it, but it didn't really affect my use for it, so it didn't really matter to me. I'm not sure why they put the grid on the side you write on rather than the underside where it would be more protected. Hopefully it won't wear out over time. So far, so good!

The problem is that it is tough to swallow these prices on a teacher's allowance. But this is a long term investment with a wide variety of teaching options. I suggest your classroom parent collect donations from parents or see if your school can buy it on your behalf. Smarty Dots is an American company and they take care of teachers. I give my highest recommendation!

My kids are using it for multiple purposes. For example, my daughter loves to draw, so instead of using the paper she uses this Blank FlexiBoard. When I compare a bulky whiteboard that takes a lot to install and leaves your wall with holes to this light and truly repositionable easy to reinstall FlexiBoard, it is a clear choice for me, as I like clean look and hassle-free convenient products. It looks great! It looks like you draw on the wall, because you barely see this product. But when my daughter wants to draw something else, it's easy to erase. And the most awesome part is that it leaves zero trace, exactly like advertised! Also, both of my kids are using it for school projects, like solving math problems and brainstorming. Definitely a great buy!

I work from home and don't have a separate room for the office, so this transparent FlexiBoard is not noticable, like my old whiteboard was. It is amazing how well this thing erases. The grid and the X,Y axis are spot on. The image is very sharp. Works great on the textured wall - I do not feel any texture while I write. I also put it on the door with an indentation design and it held up perfectly; did not cave in. I don't see anything like it on Amazon or any other place for that matter. I love it!

Oh my, how did I live without these before? For starters, I do property management and these save me a lot of paper. We're not a music family, but my kids do take classes at school, so they asked me if I can buy them a music staff notebook where they can practice writing their notes. To be honest, I bought this for my kids, but I end up using it, too. This product is optically transparent. I already put other FlexiBoards to the real test in my company office. Erases like it's some kind of a magic board. Love the fact that there are no shadows, after we erase the writing. Unlike whiteboards, where there is a need to look for studs to install a heavy and clunky boards, I simply used magnets, which help me easily switch these Smarty Dots FlexiBoards in seconds (yes, I already have a small collection of them)
