Assembly instructions
I purchased this item as well as the required associated products. 715007745 mounting plate and 715004485 72" poly blade. Although we haven't had snow yet to try out the rig it appears the parts rate 5 stars. I'm impressed with how robust the poly blade is. Now to the bad parts. Our machine is 2021 Can Am Defender. A common accessory is this plow. While 4 out of six mtg holes were present 2 weren't. This isn't the first rodeo for these parts. So why not put all the matching mounting parts on the machine. In order to put the two holes in you first need to mount he plate and transfer the two holes to the frame and then remove the plate. I had to remove the plate to see if I was reasonably straight. The holes BTW happen to line up with welds on frame. Then you have to drill thru one side of the frame tubing and hope you are straight enough to go thru the other side. Not everyone has the tools to do this. These parts should simply bolt on. Now the really bad part, The Instructions. According to them they are saving trees by posting instructions on line. However when you look at the instructions they cover every possible iterations of vehicle and possible parts in one document. When you print the instructions they include unnecessary info and nearly blank pages. So much for saving trees. Instructions like they have are unfortunately common. Questions they could ask themselves is what parts are going to be put on this machine and how do we accommodate accessories to seamlessly go with each other. The machine is Can Am the parts are Can Am one division needs to talk to the other division and then some one needs to actually install the parts and then rewrite the instructions.
