First get the "Stop the Bleed" training, then buy this kit.
This is an essential addition to any well-stocked emergency first aid kit. However, and this is VERY IMPORTANT: training in the use of the tourniquet and other items in the kit is essential! "Stop The Bleed" courses are being offered all over the USA, they take only about 1 1/2 hours, and they are well worth it to attend, to teach the proper ways to use the tourniquet and the other items in the kit. Then buy this kit, and be prepared for the single most essential way to save a life after a trauma that causes significant bleeding.

No hemostaric gauze/dressings - too expensive
No hemostatic impregnated dressings or guaze. Nice case, very tightly packed but too expensive. Companies making a lot of profit selling basic equipment. I am a paramedic.

Perfect tourniquet kit
Took a class from Firefighters on how to administer tourniquets. They recommended this kit. It is great and compact. Better to have than not.

How often do you buy something & hope that you will never use it? This kit is one of those things. I learned about this kit from the Stop the Bleed class. I carry it with me in case of emergency.
