Great How To Book blends Film + Agile - A Swiss Army Knife on video for creatives and startups
This is a great How To Book blending Film with Agile - a true Swiss Army Knife on video for filmers, creatives and startups. As a professional with a keen interest in helping creatives achieve sustainability I found this very readable book by brother and sister team Kylie and David Eddy useful and inspiring. Filming is a key part of getting the word out about all manner of things. This team blends their professional backgrounds to serve up a high impact dish full of learnings seasoned by tips and tricks that save time and make possible the sometimes impossible work of telling a story to an audience that at least stands a chance of buying. The sections on crowdfunding, distribution wins and forecast annuity revenue was particularly impressive. I found the application of agile techniques to the traditional approach to film making most revealing. And despite the how to guts of the book - their love of film and life manages to shine through. A must read for all serious aspiring filmakers. Most def my favourite book of the month.

Recommend even if your not fully convinced yet
I really enjoyed reading this book and I found I got a lot out of it. Yes lean filmmaking method has got me wanting to find a squad and work together to create a film but the book has also inspired me to think about my own current projects in a different way and actions to do. I recommend reading even if you aren’t fully set on the idea of the book because if your mind isn’t changed, I know you will still get something out of it that is useful to make your own projects much better.

This book is amazing
If you have a great idea for a film and feel like you have procrastinated enough and you want to actually get it made then this book is ideal. It adapts techniques from the world of software development and uses them to create audience focused material and overcome filmmaking hurdles. It is extremely motivational and is not like any book on filmmaking you've ever read before. I'm literally sending off emails to put together another film and apply what I've learned.Suits indi film makers or people familiar with agile product development who want to make a film. The best book on film making I've read in a while.
