Works, but not plug and play for me
Wasn't plug and play for me unfortunately, so had to jump through some hoops to install the drivers. Once I figured out how to use Freestyler, the cable worked flawlessly, ie. no issues with controlling my DJ lights. So, happy with this cable and would buy again if needed a new one.

Way better than the Lexada!
i use QLC+ for my dmx software. I started out with the lexada. That was a total nightmare to get to work, and on top of that there was delay issues. Since then i switched over to the DMXking usb to dmx and that worked absolutely great. around $70 but totally worth it. well im about to put together another rig and the dmx king has been sold out for months. i read some reviews on this and figured i would try it and if it didnt work i would just sent it back. i put it in the usb slot and the drivers auto-installed (it came with an installation cd but i didnt need it). i fired up the dmx program and saw the device was available and tested it and it worked perfectly. at $23 what a bargain!

Caused my system to flicker
I bought this to replace an old dongle that finally failed. Sadly, it made my system lights flicker which doesn't happen when I use other connection methods such as ART-NET. I tried it on lights individually and with three different computers and it flickered in all instances even with a terminator installed. Other reviews suggest some other people have had good luck with it but I didn't. I had to return it.

Hard to find software that it works with
I have tried 5 different professional DMX software packages. This device does not work on any of them.Has anyone found a software program that this works with?Update…I did get this to work with FreeStyler software. It works as expected.

Works!
Works just fine out of the box. One thing to watch for is that it is susceptible to EMI interference. You'll want to make sure it's isolated from anything that's noisy or you might experience some flickering on your light fixtures.
