Great moisture meter!
These moisture meters work great 1000 times better than the ones I used to get that had a battery in it. Very pleased with this product and if you buy it, you won’t be sorry. Just follow the directions.

Good product
The extra length sure is useful. I was worried that the extra length would make them flimsy, but with a little care when inserting one into the soil these should last quite a while.

Very helpful to track moisture levels
Very good product. Works well for keeping track of plants that need moisture, as opposed to blanket watering.Liked them well enough to purchase a second set as a gift.

give a person and idea whats happening with watering plants
it takes a bit of moving the wand around to make sure the watering of plant is correct, I like them a lot I have a bad rep when it comes to plants and such and these help me a whole lot

I like it. Simple enough
It does what it’s supposed to do. Very easy to use. Not much to say, it’s pretty self explanatory.

This product is no good..
I bought the short length meter and quickly realized I needed to go down farther in the dirt for larger plants / trees, so the same day I received the short meter, I ordered the longer ones. So, I bought 2 more long meters. It seems the way this work relies on dis-similar metals to create an electric voltage which makes the meter move - there are no batteries. The directions say to NOT put the probe directly in water - which I did not do. I found my meters (3) sitting the garage, not being used (they had been there for a while) - so I thought I'd put them in a container of dirt and test these. The dirt was dry - no reading.. expected. As I wet the dirt, about a quart of dirt, the needle did not move, I added more water - no movement. It got to a point where I could put my finger in the dirt and feel the moisture - I mean it was wet after a while of me continually adding more and more water to see if the meter would move. It did not - but there was some slight movement occasionally, but the meter quickly went back to no reading. I was actually in the garage, ready to throw these away when I decided to come in and write this review - so I'm taking the time to warn you that yours may not work. I understand the dissimilar metals creating a electrical potential and a meter being able to register this - but it does not work well in this case. In taking the meter apart, there is on bare wire that is pushed against the outer (long) probe - and perhaps this rusts a little so the bare wire does not make good contact. I cleaned this very well, reassembled, and still did not work.I think this is a useful tool - if it worked. I may look for another but would not recommend this one to anyone.Hope this helps.
