a challenge to get past the initial android boot
Linux software included on their webpage cannot be used because the Android systems installed will not allow it to boot from micro sd image, instead it default boots into Android installed on the eMMC. EDIT*** ( after trying many of the OS's they have on there website I found one that works, it's the Debian Buster xfce, first you have to load into the android mode then insert the microsd hold the reset for 5 seconds and it should boot into debian from microsd)*****(re-edit) ***** The Debian Buster Build turned out not to be stable, I have searched high and low, there is no linux support for this SBC AVOID!!!!

Speedy little thing; a bit more trouble than a Rasp..., but nimble
I like it. Distro flavors are easy to find, easy to configure, one problem is I added heat sinks to each chip, but still had a couple times of it shutting down due to heat. Speedy, so I see that as a fine balance issue. Bought a 5 pack of fans, added a fan, and no more shutdowns. Love this little beast.

Great NAS/Media Server board
I bought this to offload the file storage and Plex Media Server that were running on my desktop PC. After installing Armbian Linux to the eMMC, I installed OpenMediaVault, a Docker image with Plex, and I was up and running. My daughter has been streaming movies and TV shows via Plex for two weeks now without any problems, aside from a few initial setup goofs on my part. All in all, I highly recommend this board for home media server purposes, and the RK3399 chipset is also highly capable for other things such as emulation.

It was NOT free returns
This item is listed as FREE RETURNS. The device was no faster than my raspberry pi and was harder to configure. When I tried to return this item, they refunded the cost of the item, but I had to pay $17.90 in shipping to send it back to China. Despite sending messages to them, Shenzhen Xunlong Software CO. Limited refused to refund the shipping.
