How do you charge the battery on this device without a cradle?

Can it be used in the shower?

The device can withstand getting wet from rain or being splashed by pool water but is only water resistant not water proof. Look elsewhere for a speaker that can be placed in the shower I know they make them. Maybe something like this... Can the speaker "stay" plugged into the ac outlet to be used with the echo dot?
