Works great, looks great
This is an excellent radio with excellent sound. The large speaker is ported out the back of the radio, which gives nice bass. The DSP tuner works very well, providing for excellent tuning. It's got a solar panel and a flashlight, which does come in handy. At this price, buy two.As a professional radio person, I will tell you that this radio provides maximum bang for the buck.

Awesome radio
Very good quality radio with lots of nice features, am, fm, shortwave, Bluetooth. It's rechargeable and has a solar panel... tuner lights up white on the dial when playing the radio on local stations and turns red when playing bluetooth... very cool!!! It even has a bright flashlight on the side... Great radio plus it has that retro classic 1930s look... Get one you won't be disappointed... P.s the sound is great for such a small radio...

Excellent little radio for your buck
OK, I don't write reviews, but this is a great little radio! It's super well built and has a heavy weight to it that tells you it's not all cheap plastic parts. It's nice looking and works effortlessly just as it's supposed to. Radio stations come in clear, the volume is much louder than you think it's capable of, and Bluetooth is super easy to pair. The solar panel works really well and immediately adds a charge to this little workhorse.

Cute, handy, and works well.
This is an adorable little radio that does so much. Originally purchased because I needed an FM radio outdoors to use at an Air Show. (The Air Show announcements came via tuning in to a particular station and you could listen as the planes flew overhead.) The station came in clear and the volume worked great in an outdoor environment as long as you didn’t stray too far from the radio. (And naturally, you couldn’t hear any of the radio when an F18 was flying overhead.) Since the airport, this is also now our favorite beach radio. You can tune into different stations, and you can also Bluetooth your own music to the radio, which turns it into a nice speaker. Is it Bose quality? No, but for the price you get a very good sound and long life out of every charge.

Best purchase of the year!
It's just a radio and it does it oh so well. Love all the extras like the flash light and solar charger. At the end of the day I wanted a radio to listen to local news and it does the job! Sounds great, good connection, no issues. Couldn't recommend enough.

Works like a charm!
I got this because I wanted the solar capability to take camping or to have without power if we lost from a dorm or something. The solar recharges under my desk light, which is handy so it’s ready to use when needed. It works seamlessly with my phone to listen to books or music. The sound is clear if not a little sharp sounding. More treble than bass if you will. The radio stations on both bands come in well too. One of the best benefits of the radio is the shortwave band receiver. I would imagine this could be very helpful in an emergency to get news. And lastly, a cool function as well is the light. It has a bright LED light on a side panel. If you set it to auto, it will turn on when dark. Or you can use it manually too. The radio is very lightweight and could be easily carried. We really love ours!

Beautiful, sounds great! Impressed!
We are all impressed with the quality of this radio. My husband asked me to order two more for his sister and brother, and I ordered with pleasure. I always wanted a retro-looking radio for my kitchen, and when I ordered this one, I had no clue that the quality would be so good as it is close to being a heavy-duty item, and it does have some weight in it. The flashlight is so powerful that I wouldn't be afraid of hiking in the woods in the evening:) The radio sounds great with or without the antenna, and it looks so nice that occasionally, I move it around the house to keep it in sight, especially when we have guests.

Not really bad, mind you, but has some flaws
I guess it is a matter of what you need in a radio like this rather than whether this one is "any good."The flashlight function is nice and may be useful if you find yourself in the dark, maybe your lights went out or you are lost somewhere while in your car or in the woods etc. The light is very strong. Good enough for a bike light. But I don't perceive I would really need it.The rest of the radio has an attractive "older style' look to it.It is really great that it is re-chargeable and that it is rechargeable with sunlight. This really makes it useable for outdoor use such as camping even though I would then wonder if the radio signals out in the wild or in more isolated areas would be good enough for the radio to work. It has an SD slot which I am not too sure about as to how it is to be used ; but I imagine just like you would insert an SD card in a computer or cell phone, you can listen to certain audio such as music, or maybe language lessons etc. However if so, I don't think I have use for that feature since I have tablet computers and cell phones for that. I guess the micro USB port and the regular (large) USB port means that the radio can be charged using either of those receptacles. Also MAYBE you can put a flash drive that has music or language lessons or other audio on it into the large USB receptacle and listen to the audio on the flash drive.I GUESS.I do not intend to use these mentioned features, the SD slot, and the large USB slot for those purposes. When I bought this item, I just intended to use it just for the AM and FM radio.. It seems that the radio does last for several hours with one charge. I think at least 6 hours but I think I used the radio for an entire day before it just stopped working and I had to charge it again. And one very nice plus, is that if you plug in the micro USB charger into the radio to charge it, the radio will work while it is being charged. That has been my experience with it.Also it is good that the radio has a strong movable handle but the radio is still a bit heavy in its own way even though it is understandable because it has a re-chargeable battery inside. That being said, I think that the volume control has very tentative settings. It goes a few volumes too loud by twisting it only slightly rather than giving you a wider range of incremental loudness or softness by turning the knob.I never need to have the radio on extremely loud, that makes the sound annoying on any radio, and anyway if you set this radio too loud, the sound becomes a bit too much like that of a small transistor radio that has been set too loud. It has a higher pitched "squeaky" "static-y" "unequal" sound. This is an analogy to give an example. The sound quality of this radio is actually good for what it is, but setting the volume too high does not work for good sound.I think I will return this item eventually. I still would recommend it for others if they need the features it has, and if they do not mind the minor issue with the volume control or the weight of item.Basically this nice little radio is not exactly what I need at this time.
