Summary:Poor blade - scratches, looks and feels cheap, it's the same at the basic £10 Wahl beard trimmer blades. Does not cut at a consistent 0.5mm as advertised.Full review:Since the lockdown started, we have cut our own hair. I use a wahl cordless magic clip for the main body of hair. Side lining and squaring up was with a Remington, which was purchased 5 years ago. It cut to 0.4mm. I have to say it did us well. Recently, the battery was fading. Lasted 10 minutes top on a 12 hour charge. It needed replacing with something equivalent.I was ideally looking for a t-blade trimmer. Something zero gapped if possible. However, after purchasing a Chinese trimmer, allegedly zero gapped, I was left disappointed. I then looked at a Wahl 5-star cordless with a t-blade. But again, I was unsuccessful, as the market is flooded with counterfeits.This Wahl colour beard and stubble trimmer came up on a flash deal at £22.99. I thought why not. Great service by Amazon, with same day delivery. Unfortunately, it also went back the same day.The body of the trimmer itself isn't too bad. It has a standard Wahl feel - nothing premium. The add on clips are good, they are well made and will give a comb through hair smoothly for a cut.Now the most important part, the blade. A big let down, unfortunately. Wahl have basically repackaged this trimmer as something new, when in reality it is one of their cheaper models, with colour coded combs and fancy packaging.The blade is rough, it scratches and does not cut well at all. It is advertised at 0.5mm, but it struggles severely, possibly due to poor blades and low power.ConclusionI felt this was not worth the price, even at £23. I feel Wahl have repackaged an older, poor functioning model. I would not recommend this.

I am a girl with very short hair - grade 0.5 on the sides and back - and was getting fed up (and broke!) from running to the hairdresser every 2 weeks for a fresh trim. I did a LOT of research on hair clippers and trimmers, and decided on this Wahl model. It doesn’t disappoint. The colourful size guards are very easy to attach/detach and clean, the device fits perfectly into my hand and isn’t heavy. I can easily reach all angles of my head and barely have to do a second pass. The battery life gives me a full haircut and more each time. Just remember to clean and oil the trimmer as per the instructions. Love this product & wish I’d bought it sooner!

I had to get mine replaced as it would not hold a charge. Service was very good. However, the smallest comb which is the only I use just fell off. It has creased at the end and will not stay on the clippers. The combs are not covered under the warranty and cost £7 plus £4 postage. It is very comfortable to use as the combs are rounded and very smooth. The new one holds a charge for a very long time. It is very loud. All in all I think I will try a different brand next time.

My husband likes to keep his head and beard hair at a short length so thought it would be better to do it here myself than keep going to the barbers. This shaver is perfect for at home trims as long as you keep on top of the length! It struggles to cut longer hair.

Ok - I don't use this for a beard (I don't have a beard). I use this to trip around ears, neck, sideboards and to trim eyebrows. I purchased it to replace a near-identical Wahl unit I have had for many years and was very pleased with. It is quite a cheap build quality (light & plastic) but perfectly adequate, nice and light.... and appropriate for the price. I only looked at Wahl brand because with this type of product, I think they are the best and the most reliable.
