Well I love turtles and have cats so perfect! My cats love it!

I love turtles, so I had to have this when I saw it. I was looking for different types of scratchers for cats, as mine started digging at the carpet. I put this on the carpet in front of the fireplace where my cat had pulled up some carpet and almost made a hole. It slides a lot on carpet when they scratch, but it comes with little stick on grip pads that really worked to keep it in place!They don't use it as much as the post scratchers they are used to, and they don't play with the rolling ball (they're not overly playful cats in general), but I'm still glad I bought it because it's just so cute.

There are no directions but it’s easy to put together. The holes for the treats are too big and when you move it a few times all of the treats come out at once. I wish the base was larger. My new cat seems like the balls that go around. It might be better for a more playful cat. My cat is older and used to be an outdoor cat and could not figure out how to move the spring.

This toy came almost as pictured except for the eyes. In the product images and instructions it shows all black eyes. However the eyes included were googly eyes to stick on. I suppose I could color them in, but it's not the same ):Overall pretty cute, but the wooden balls don't roll far like plastic would.

There are no instructions. I'm a capable person with assembly but I have a couple pieces left over... beyond that it seems sturdy, the cats love the balls. They have yet to figure out the food portion. I th8nk the holes are a bit too big for most cat food, a lot falls out at a time so the reward is too big. All in all, it does what it says and is a sturdy little toy.

As soon as my husband finished assembling this toy and put it on the floor, my younger cat was immediately interested in playing with the wooden balls that run around the turtle. She liked it. It looks like it should last quite a while. One note. A pair of googly eyes came to put on the turtle's face. We felt the eyes were unnecessary and perhaps even dangerous if she pulled them off, so we simply left off the googly eyes. I think the turtle looks great without them.

The little balls are real wood but the actual turtle in not. It's like a really nice thick pressed cardboard. I was able to spray paint it a dark brown and it looks fine.
