I’ve had this for 3 years now and it cools my entire apartment
This thing has made my upstairs city apartment livable. I honestly would not have been able to live in this place without it! I have it installed in my living room and I keep all the windows in my place closed. The whole 4 bedroom stays cool from this one AC. I have been running this AC day and night 24 hours a day for 3 years! Beyond worth the money paid! The remote is a plus but I don’t use it very much. The clips did pop out the window housing sometimes but I fixed that with tiny zip ties. I also bought extra weather stripping from the hardware store. The installation was easy but slightly time consuming because I have sliding windows . Fits perfectly though. Nice modern look . Very quiet too. Everyone who comes in my place asks where to get one. They can’t believe how quiet it is and how much it cools. I know they don’t sell my exact model anymore but any model from this brand would be exceptional.

Very good unit with performance up to specs
Overall a very good unit. The dual hose makes for better performance since no hot air is sucked into the room from the outside. The hose is really big in its cross-section and difficult to adjust. It really bends in one plane only so the unit has to be almost centered on the window outlet. Once put in place, it should stay there. Removing and putting it back will be taxing. Also for vertical installation in a sliding window there could be problems. The panel provided with the unit extends only to 48 in and my window is taller. Also the coupling between the hose and the window panel on one side is almost flush with the panel edge and on the other side extends some 3 inches beyond the panel edge (see pics). Thus if the window is in a recess the coupling may not fit. I solved the problem of window height and the size of the hose coupling by making a custom panel, taller and wider.Once installed everything works great. The noise is really low as per specs. Using the cell phone (3ft away) the loudest is about 43-44 dB while the quietest only 26 dB.For basic operation the remote is easy to use and the unit can be operated with buttons on the top. There is a clever mode iSense that adjusts the operation by monitoring the ambient temperature not at the unit but at the location of the remote. I requires some reading of the manual but it is very useful.

Can't even cool average size bedroom
My first product review on Amazon. When the compressor turns on, it cools for less than a minute, then it shuts off and just the fan blows which doesn't actually cool anything. The compressor should stay on way longer and actually cool the room, but it's really pathetic. Wasted a lot of money on this, and time properly installing it with the dual hose vented to the outdoors. We bought this a couple months before the hot season so we could be ready. Now that hot summer is here, we discover it doesn't work. We're better off running a fan than this thing. It's huge, 12,000btu supposedly. We bought this oversized unit for avg size bedroom so it would cool quickly. Today it was set for 78degrees...an hour later the room was still 93deg. Pathetic. I would not buy this unit if I were you.

AC unit good, Installation kit is frustrating
Update, couple months use. Impressive performance, couple more tips. I used gaffer tape along with different self adhesive foam to seal the window kit and gaps around the hose end.Very important to level this unit or condensation will not drain properly.Original review below:1 caveat :The adhesive backed foam is so brittle and crumbly, it falls apart when you remove the backing. That said, and it really bothered me at first, this is an excellent air conditioner.I've had a single hose before, you don't want that, dual hose is a must. The inverter also helps a lot, uses less power, makes less noise most of the time. When it has to go full blast, it will make some noise, but this might not happen often depending on your space.I have to recommend this unit, based on how it is performing now, upper 90s past two days, and it has not even struggled keeping my place at 72 degrees. We do have shade, and an upstairs apt above, so that helps too.The installation kit, it's not great, but not unlike what comes with any similar unit. I would just be prepared to improvise a good solution to making it fit and seal. That said, even with a daylight showing around the hose connection to the window plate, this think is working fine. Once it cools off, I'll setup my diy solution so it's ready for the next heatwave.
