Sturdy Planner
I'm not sure how useful my review is with all of the new Happy Planners planning to roll out soon. However, the gold dot planner does go through December of this year, so maybe people are still buying them.First of all, I got it for five dollars on blitsy. I wanted to try it out cheaply before I invested in the new ones coming out. The first thing I noticed is that the front cover has really snazzy metallic gold dots all over. However, the back cover not only does not have metallic dots, but the the dots themselves look sort of wrinkled and crumbly. The paper itself is fine, it just has a weird texture that looked like a close up shot of old wood with a gold-ish color. The cover seems very sturdy. I took it off the rings and put it back on a few times and it doesn't seem like it is going to tear. The rings also seem sturdy. I wasn't sure if the pages turning would be difficult with the disc system. I haven't found that to be the case. The front and back cover is nice quality lamination. The divider pages are un-laminated light-weight cardstock. The other pages are thick paper (thicker than your generic printer paper - much thinner than cardstock). The tabs themselves are laminated, but not the entire page. I am happy with the quality of the pages over-all. I did notice that all of the 'metallic' details inside the planner were just printed and were not actually foil. I DO know that the new happy planners coming out in March have plenty of foil in many different colors. I think they took the feedback from this planner and the other ones that came out at the same time and quickly fixed it with this year's options. For general planning, I don't mind the smaller size. However, for school planning (or if you plan a lot of things at once) it really is a planner that is on the smaller side. I plan to try the new 8.5x11 planner that is coming out in March. I am hoping that it sells well enough that they start selling the larger versions in more options and start selling the accessories for it. I think this will make a great memory planner or as a dedicated planner for 1 or 2 categories, like meal planning, exercising, and/or chores around the house. As for accessories I thought I should mention that the sticky note pad, the folders, and the cards with sayings on them that I bought separately do seem to be a little flimsier when they snap on to the rings. They bend a bit and seem to be of cheaper quality than the pages in the planner itself. I do not know if the new ones coming out are sturdier.Photos Attached:The sticky pad (top) and a planner page (bottom) showing the extra bending of the sticky pad's paper in comparison (it's hard to tell in the picture, but the difference is easy to see in person)November's dashboard showing the 'metallic look' of the inner pages (not bad at all, just not metallic)Showing the difference between the front, metallic cover (R) and the back, 'metallic look' cover (L)

Great quality planner that fits my organisation needs!
I'm a casual planner (I don't use stickers or other add-ons) and I find that the `me & my BIG ideas Create 365 Happy Planner` has the perfect layout to organize my weeks and days. The weekly view with 3 vertical columns per day and the side note section provide me the ideal space for the way I structure my `to-do` lists. I use the side note for notes that are specific to the whole week. Each day, I use one column for meal planning, one for house chores and incoming deliveries, and the remaining column for anything else.I don't actually use it as a dated planner, so I'll buy usually an older planner for a lower price (you can even get one for $5-6 sometimes); it's a way better deal than buying the extra 6-months add-on for my old planner. This time the cheapest was this Modern Marble pattern one, which actually looks very stylish, so I didn't have to sacrifice looks for the price.Features:-> The `Happy Planner` is very well structured, with month and weekly views. The weekly view is vertical, which fits the way I like to plan. I just use the weekly layout (and I don't even care about the dates), but the monthly view is great for people who want to have a schedule of events/to-dos at a glance.-> It's a versatile planner that can be used by both casual and `hard-core` planners. It has tons of add-ons that you can use, it's expandable, customizable; or you can just use a black pen like me. For daily planning the three columns allow the flexibility to track anything you like, how you like.-> Tons of space for people who make tons of lists (or have many things to schedule/organize/plan).-> The pages can be easily removed and put back in.-> It's a great quality planner, with sturdy disc and laminated covers, and thick and resistant paper pages. From the previews Happy Planners I had, I can guarantee they will last me for 18 months of daily use with no issues. The covers do a good job at protecting the planner in a bag.-> The tabs provide easy access to the current month.-> It's a fun planner, if this matters to you. Each month has a different design for the month tabCons:-> It's a bulky planner. I mostly use it at home, so I don't mind that much; but if you need to carry this planner on the go, you'll need a big bag.-> The disc is quite large, if I need to write something for Wednesday I usually have to take the page out of the planner. The planner was delivered in good conditions, wrapped in a plastic bag.

GORGEOUS, WELL-MADE (but really, just a big diary)
I ordered this because the Erin Condren is SO expensive - plus there's shipping to pay, plus (often) Customs charges too. I suppose I was expecting more from it - basically, it's just an over-sized diary. The PROSVisually, it's STUNNING and very well madeExcellent quality paper - no bleed-through (I tried various pens and brushes)A muted colour scheme, with a lot of black & white tooClear printing and in a font that doesn't strain the eyesGorgeous, sturdy dividers (if you write in PENCIL on the reverse, you can transfer them to an A5 Filofax (slightly cut down to fit) as I did last yearThe CONSThere's no real 'planning' (ie brain dumping capability) here (unlike ECLP), just month on two pages; week on two pages and Currently, Birthdays, Important Dates, Monthly Goals (a tiny space for each) and Doodle (why??) at the beginning of each month (on one side only). It would be so much better if there were more room to sketch, say, Goals etc and write in the planner a little more. What's VERY IRRITATINGThe 'month on two pages' starts on a SUNDAY butThe 'week on two pages' starts on a MONDAY. I've already put appointments in the wrong place - Grrrrrrrrr. If you can put those little quibbles aside, this is a lovely 'diary/planner' if you're not too heavily into planning.

Fabulous planner
After viewing this planner on YouTube I decided it was the one for me. Bic warehouse offered a fantastic price of £14.50 with free p & p and arrived with 10 days or so. They had also taken measures to protect the planner in transit so it arrived in great condition. When thinking about what information would be helpful when deciding if this is the one to buy:I had been using an A5 arc planner from staples so the extra size of the happy planner is really helpful. It is compatible with the arc punch from staples. The spacing is just right and it works just fine if you choose to add your own pages. I have found two tiny points though - the shaft of the punch on the happy planner is deeper that the arc punch so if you punch a page that is exactly the same size the page you punch yourself will overhang the happy planner pages by 2mm. No problem just trim your own pages slightly smaller. The second point is that the positioning of the punch. There isn't a setting for the happy planner obviously so I chose the closest one and added a spacer to make sure all the punches lined up.The monthly pages run Sunday to Saturday and the weekly pages are Monday to Sunday.Extra months can easily be removed and replaced if you didn't want to carry 18 months around all the time. The tabs are laminated (lots of old you tube videos say they are not but it seems they have improved the product since then)The discs are a grey/blue and 3cm. I've taken all but 3 months out and there is now plenty of room for the household pack and many other pages I have printed myself. Lots of scope for customisation. If you choose to customise this planner you can search for MAMBI printable stickers and there is a lot to choose from. Also the column width is the same as the Erin condren planner adding more choice. The month pages are printed on the tab pages so no using the tabs agin next year really. After seeing lots of plan with me videos on you tube then when the planner arrived it did look a little more plain than expected but lots I scope for making it your own.The 3 boxes on the weekly pages are labled once in the Monday box: morning, afternoon, evening.Utterly thrilled with the planner. It's flexible, light and beautiful. Very very happy.

kaputt angekommen

LOVE LOVE LOVE it
LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!Having been a Happy Planner user for the last few years I was excited to try out this new size of planner. I bought it to use to plan for childminding. The boxes are a little bigger than normal and the bigger sized stickers were sadly out of stock. I have yet to find out how my smaller classic sized stickers will fit as I'm not starting the planner for another week or so. The pages come out so you can lay them flat on the table to decorate/plan and being disc bound it also has the advantage that you can lay it flat or fold it flat.My other current planner is a classic 18 month planner so this one seems thin but I guess there is plenty of room in there for pockets, pages etc.I can't wait to start using it in September. If you are new to planning in a Happy Planner: There are lots of ideas of how to use the Happy Planners on YouTube so if you haven't used them before, get yourself over there and check out the videos for some great planning ideas - there are also flip throughs of the planners themselves to give you a better view of what is inside them.
