Lesotho’s flag is divided into three diagonal stripes – the largest occupying the upper left corner and sporting a light brown emblem of a traditional shield - which is a part of the country's coat of arms. The center stripe is blue, which stands for rain and water; and the right lower corner stripe is green, symbolizing fertile agricultural land. The Lesotho flag was adopted in1987.
