Being New to standardized testing and SBAC, we used this book in addition to the CONNECTICUT TEST PREP Common Core Math SBAC Mathematics Grade 3: Preparation for the Smarter Balanced Assessments and CONNECTICUT TEST PREP SBAC Practice Book English Language Arts Grade 3: Preparation for the Smarter Balanced ELA/Literacy Assessments to help prep my daughter for the test. These definitely helped to pinpoint deficiencies so I knew what to review with her (our school lacked geometry skills). But basically what these books do is get them used to how the test is worded and what to expect from the test. My daughter enjoyed this book much better than the CT one and she went through it quickly and without complaint. I like that it gives you a practice test to see how they would do on time. We did not use any of the computer tests either included in this book or on the SBAC site.

My child took the SBAC test for first time this year and this book was very helpful in many ways.1. It’s a concise review of the entire curriculum so if there’s any area you find challenging, you can work on it specifically.2. It’s online practice tests, including performance tasks gave a good practice and confidence to my child.3. The explanations with answer keys are s big help and helps create independence in kids as they take ownership of their own learning.

I purchased this book for my child who is in 3rd grade and was about to take up her SBAC exams.I ordered this book approximately a month before SBAC exam and the delivery was prompt ,My child started practicing the problems given in the book ,each chapter has handful problems to practice,In addition to that we could also take up full length CAT exams and PT in the portal to test her understanding and redo portions where she needs improvement.Overall a good book which helped a lot for practicing SBAC exam ,I wish I could have ordered this book couple of months back so that we would have got enough time to practice.

My daughter uses this book for practice at home after the school. It's a good book in the sense that problems are structured. It's just a set of questions though. There is no theory. So the parent has to sit down with the kid and explain the theory first. I think that's the purpose of the book. It's a practice book.

This has all the tests and mini-tests that it states. With the practice smarter balanced test online, I am able to reference practice problems and concepts according to common core. There is still some leg work, but it provides great correlation and then testing.

About 20 percent of the answers in the answer keys are wrong. They need to get their act together. I won’t be buying their brand again.

This is an excellent resource to make your kids feel confident with their learning and give them that extra step to succeed.It covered all the Common core concepts (Math for Grade 3). We got the Lumos Learning SBAC Test Prep-Grade 3 Math book. It was very helpful. It covered all the Common core concepts (Math for Grade 3). It was in alignment with Go Math chapters and helped our child practice every lesson. The practice problems were challenging enough at times and helped prepare for the Performance task as well. The online practice tests were also very helpful. Will continue to purchase these books for future grades.
