I have a Hyundai Kona that doesn't have a lot of roof space and this box is perfect! I like that I can open it from either side (but not at the same time) and both sides have triple cam locks. The Key can not be removed unless the Lock is engaged. The top is tricky to open because of the strength of the interior lifts, but if you start at either front or back, instead of the middle, it will be easier. I found that after a few tries, it opened with less exertion on my part. Speaking of the lifts, they are very study and appear to be replicas of the thules. The ubolts fit well, but the holes in the metal support on the box bottom weren't exactly lined up with the holes drilled in the plastic...easily smoothed out with a drill bit. The bolts them selves are a bit too long for the screw on handles. But being a bit afraid of cutting down 8 bolts and possibly messing up, I took the easy way out....8 washers, 8 1)2 in nuts and 8 lock washers to fit over the nuts...result... Perfect fit! Keep in mind that the nuts are used as spacers so they aren't supposed to screw on, only slide on. This does raise the height of the handle about 1/2 in but that is not a problem. It also solves the plastic on plastic issue which is really the only real design flaw I noted. There were a few little "scritches" along the edges but for the price I paid, I am very happy. I drove around town with no noticeable drop in mpg and today I am doing a 250 mi highway trip which will tell me more. To be on the safe side, I have a strap that goes front to back, but I doubt it will be necessary. The top fits over the base by nearly 2 in and with 3 lock points on either side, it is very secure. I will update this review after my trial run if anything changes my initial response!I completed my road trip with my topper... If I could rater this a 6, I would! I travelled at 70mph and got nearly 38 mpg! My car is advertised to get 35mpg. There was NO wind n9ise or vibration and the carrier showed no movement on the rails. The inside handles had loosened just a tiny bit but that may have been due to my not holding the bolts when I tightened the handles. I fingered held them so the didn't move and was able to gently tightened the handles a bit more. I am VERY pleased with the carrier, especially at it's price point. If you are able and willing to tinker a bit, you can save $$$$. 🤩

We were looking for a rigid sided unit to replace one of those soft-sided cartop carriers. This one had a great price. We installed this on top of our Subaru Outback on the built-in rails. It went on fairly easily and had plenty of options for where to put the U-bolts. My only complaints are that you really can only put small bags up there because larger ones don't fit well. The other issue is when it was time to take it off after we got home, it seemed like the U-bolts wouldn't let loose and needed some gentle persuasion to unbent and release. I'm still glad we got it. We'll get the appropriate size duffles to put up there and we'll be set for our next trip. Recommended for folks who are a little more agile and can install and load it easily.

After 10 days road trip, I am quite happy with this purchase.The lock feels very secure (it won't let you remove the key unless both the front and rear are locked). It is also convenient to the able to open it from both sides.The cargo held-up nicely even if some water made its way inside during a very violent storm.On our Rav4 the wind noise is barely noticable up to 70mph.My only complain is the mounting hardware : the U-shape brackets are not bent perfectly so you need to muscle them in place, and the ridiculously large plastic knobs are taking precious cargo space. I replaced them with large washers and nylstop nuts.

This was easier to install by myself than I expected. I’ve got a small vehicle but this fits great on my 2024 Hyundai Venue. The fact that it opens from either side is perfect- I rarely have passengers and this is a great carrier for all my dog accessories- towels, spare leashes and snacks, cooler, and water containers. Taking it through the car wash and will update if there are any issues.

Unable to get lock to work so haven’t used the carrier. Otherwise appears to be well constructed.

I liked that it fit my car and the design is such that it will fit just about any mounts. It wasn't hard to put together and the design is such that I little fear it will fly off the car. It doesn't make much noise and the gas milage only slightly lowered from 47 to 44 on my hybrid.

Holds about 3 large IKEA bags worth of soft items. Worked great on our four hour drive and back.

No problems with it so far...this is my second rooftop cargo box I've had to purchase. Highly recommend as my first one was a soft top carrier bag that was "waterproof" but not the zipper, and I unloaded it to take some stuff out, everything got soaked! I love the easy usage and locking keys to feel safe about your stuff, and it is a hard plastic so a good thunderstorm is nothing to worry about! I am 5'2 with a minivan, I put the box on by myself and drove from FL to IN with no issues as long as it's tight on the roof rack. Also has a nice pull handle to close down that helps! It has 3 pins that must line up in order to close and lock it to take the key out, so you will definitely know if you have too much stuff.
