Q: Can you sleep on the side with this pillow?

I have the wedge. Life changed for me. I slept so much better. I have GERD awful. But it is not comfortable sleeping on my side. I have done it but for a short period of time like 15 minutes, then when I roll back to my back I'm in heaven. I got the 12 inch height and you will slide down sometimes. It just takes some time to get used to it. My doctor said it would take a week to get used to it. For me it was 2 weeks. They do make side versions you may want to try them first.

Q: Only one side expanded after 24 hours. The other side is 3 inches lower than the other. Is it defective or do i need to wait another 24 hours.

Yes my husband use this when he broke five ribs. It was better than the recliner and he was very comfortable up like that all night.
