Marked at Midnight (Mark of the Dragon Book 1)

Great story. Exciting to read. Can't wait for book 2! Will recommend this to all of my friends who enjoy the same genre!

Interesting premise for a series- the heroes are “twins” on the surface, but actually a dragon and his rider. The dragon then uses magic to appear human and models his appearance on his rider; the catch is that he is seeming mute because he can only speak telepathically to those he is bonded to. Oh, and dragon and rider share a mate. I don’t want to get into too many details and thus giveaway any of the plot, but if you liked Anne McCafferey’s Dragonriders of Pern merged with threesome fated shifter mates romantica, this is a book for you.

It was a little confusing in a few places towards the beginning. I’m not sure if the author was unclear or if I just didn’t pay enough attention to detail. The heroine did manage a few TSTL moments, but it didn’t ruin the story for me. Overall, I enjoyed the story and wish that things could have been more fleshed. Perhaps following stories will be more novel and less novella.

Interesting storytelling with lots of twists and turns. This one will keep you entertained and on your toes trying to figure out what will happen next.
