MILWAUKEE'S Cordless Impact Wrench, 28V, 1/2" (0779-20)

The greatest thing since sliced bread , I use it to change tires from season to season , saving eighty dollars per year per vehicle use it with RV stabilizer deployment . It is very powerful, have to be careful to not over tighten fasteners

Out of the box, the quality and appearance is what I expected. I put it to the test as soon as I could. Took it to work; and was trying to take off some lime coated stainless steel 3/8 bolts with old rusty nuts that was put on a while ago with a air impact gun. It would not break or budge them. I was let down a little. We then tried a air impact gun which did nothing either. So I felt a little better then. We ended up cutting them off with a grinder. I then tried it on a old truck with lug nuts that was put on with a air impact years a go. A hesitation at first be fore zipping them off with ease. Used half a battery on 16 lug nuts though. Overall, Milwaukee 28 Volt is THE BEST CORDLESS TOOLS OUT THERE!

I was already warned about how heavy this impact wrench is by other reviewers. I was hoping for a wrench that really had a lot of torque. I was very disappointed when I compared it with my 18 volt Znex. The Milwaukee wouldn't loosen bolts even with a freshly charged battery that the Znex would. I sadly returned it and am still in search of a stronger cordless impact wrench. The eighteen volt Bosh says it will deliver 500 plus pounds of torque. Maybe it is a better tool.

does not seem to have the power stated and the batteries are extremely expensive if i knew the cost i would not have bought this

Compared to its competition this impact is heavy! How ever it will perform when asked to. The battery's are very expensive! But the build quality is good.

I have a pneumatic one so I didn't really need this but when I stumbled across it on Amazon for 100 bucks cheaper then I've ever seen: $131+freeship, my tool buying reflex took over.It is big and really heavy compared to my pneumatic one but the convenience of complete portability is worth a lot. I quickly put it to work rotating the tires on my one-ton and though it took a couple seconds to break some lugs free, the work went quickly; no charging the compressor, uncoiling the hose or finding the pneumatic tool oil. 8 lugs per hub off and on all around only used 50% charge, though my right forearm was feeling the burn near the end. The charge rebounded to 75% later as these batteries tend to do.I don't think I'll be bothering with the air compressor and hose anymore except to inflate tires.*I see the product dimensions are junk; it's 12" long x 11.5" high wi. battery.**Flat tire already, lucky me, but I also used it on the plastic hub protector lugs this time and the trigger control was excellent, no stripping.

Lacking in power I expected more but it did the job after a little adjustment

I previouly purchased the Milwaukee 28V combo kit and have been very impressed with it's performance. The addition of the cordless impact wrench is just the icing on the cake. The day I got it I was driving 3/4" lag bolts into fence posts. I really like the fact that it was offered without battery & charger, since I aready have these items from the combo kit. This was a great addition to my tool inventory.
