ATTEMPTED TO EXECUTE A 'SYSTEM CLEANING" AND PRINTER WENT INTO AN UNRECOVERABLE ERROR STATE , UNABLE TO CONNECT TO HOST . ALL MY NETWORK , WIFI AND IP CONNECTIONS WERE NOT CHANGED . CANON MUST HAVE EITHER SOFTWARE OR OTHER MEANS IN PLACE TO SEVER THE HOSTCONNECTION WHEN THE "SYSTEM CLEANING" OPTION IS ATTEMPTED ON THEIR G32OO WIRELESSINK TANK PRINTERS OR HAVE IP ACCESS TO SUCH PRINTERS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF THE CUSTOMER'S . WILL ESCALATE TO AMAZON UPPER MANAGEMENT AS ALL ATTEMPTS TO LOCATE A "CANON SUPPORTCONTACT" WERE INFUTILE TO SAY THE LEAST . CANON NEEDS TO KEEP THEIR HANDS OFF , PERIOD ,AND ONLY HOPE THEY RESET THIS ATTROCITY !!!! UPDATE ... HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW CANON G3200 WIRELESS SUPERTANK WHICH WAS DISCOUNTED TO $129.99(I WONDER WHY ?) IF YOU DO I HIGHLY ADVISE THE 4 YEAR EXTRA ASSORION WARRANTY FOR $29.99 OR WHATEVER . I ALREADY FILED A GRIEVANCE WITH THE BBB NOT ONLY FOR CANON'S FAILED INK REPLACEMENT BOTTLES THAT FAILED TO DISPENSE INK AFTER ORDERING TWO COMPLETE SETS BECAUSE CANON PLACED SOMETHING WITHIN THE BOTTLES TO BLOCK THE INK FROM FLOWING OUT INTO THE RESERVOIRS AFTER REPEATEDLY TRYING TO CLEAR SUCH BLOCKAGES . CANON KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO CAUSE SUCH INK BOTTLE FAILURES BUT MAJORELY TOTAL PRINTER "HOST UNRECOVERABLE LOCKOUTS" WHICH ARE "NO WAY RELEATED TO ANY WARRENTIES WHATSOEVER AND BY ALLOWING SUCH A UTILITY MENU OPTION ENTITLED "SYSTEM CLEANING" WITHOUT ANY SUCH WARNING THATCOULD LEAD TO A UNRECOVERABLE "HOST LOCKOUT" HAS DONE NO MORE THAN TO "BLACKBALL"THEIR CUSTOMER'S BY DEMANDING THEY PAY A $99.00 RANSOM IN ORDER TO GET THEIR PRINTER(S) BACK UP AND OPERATING !!! AFTER MANY MANY TRIES OF ATTEM[PTING TO CONTACT A PIXMA PRINTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN AND FINALLY SPEAKING TO ONE I WAS ENSURED THAT HE WOULD CALL ME BACK WITHIN THE HOUR AND THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH MY OLDER APPLE .LAPTOP COMPUTER BUT THE CALLBACK NEVR HAPPENED AND ALL MY MANY INUTILE ATTEMPTS TO RE-CONTACT HIM FAILED EVEN THOUGH I HAD REGISTED MY NAME , PHONE NUMBER , ETC ON CANON'S WEBSITE THE AUTOMATED VOICE TOLD ME THAT IT COULD NOT LOCATE MY PHONE NUMBER EVEN THOUGH IT KNEW I HAD ALREADY BEEN ON THE LINE WITH A SERVICE TECHNICIAN(PURPOSELY DONE IN ORDER TO AVERT THIS LOCKOUT !) MY ONLY ADVISE TO CANON(CEO LOCATED IN JAPAN) IS EITHER CHANGE YOUR BLACKBALLING WAYS OR GET THE HELL OUT !!!!!!!

I received my G3200 printer a couple of days ago. This is my 2nd ink tank printer. My previous one was from a different brand, and it is also working without any issue over couple of years till now. I allocated it for some work, and I wanted to try this cannon printer for use at my home.The initial setup was straightforward.All the instructions were available on the documents, I didn't face any connectivity issues also. It doesn't require any technical expertise for setting up the connection because a couple of click by following the instructions given in the computer app does the job seamlessly. The printer got connected to my WiFi router without any problem, and I'm able to send print jobs from my laptop computers and iPhone (Using Canon Print app).Some tips that may help you:You should be careful when installing the print heads to place those correctly without touching the interfaces that had been covered with stickers. When filling ink to the tanks, please be careful not to let dust and other small particles go inside. I used a brush to clean up around the tank knobs before opening those to assure that.Please follow all the instructions properly, and be patient during the printer initialization process as it took about 5 minutes (as mentioned in the instruction document) in my case to fill the ink lines and get the print heads ready for printing. You will see the ink level in the tanks going down below the top arrow margin during this process.

This is an amazingly cool printer if what you primarily want is reliability, cheap ink replacement, and ease of setup. The photo print quality is a bit below the average, but it's "good enough" for most everyday tasks.What makes this printer special? Not only does it refill with real ink bottles- yes that's right, no more cartridges- but it has large inkwells meaning that with normal document printing you get a ton of use out of one fill. I've been printing replacement DVD covers for some titles whose cases got destroyed, and the printer does seem to guzzle a bit. With a very rough estimation I might get 50 DVD covers out of the color ink at the rate it's going. That might seem a bit average for the size of the tanks, but then again I could refill the printer with gallon jugs of ink from eBay if I feel like it. Works for me!But wait- there's a surprise! Ever had the problem with an old inkjet where no matter how many times you do the "print head alignment" it just won't print correctly anymore? You get lines, or streaks, or missing colors no matter how often you swap the ink? This printer features- drumroll please- real replaceable print heads. Confusingly, Canon calls these "print cartridges", but they're honest-to-goodness print heads you can remove and replace. Theoretically, that means that printer will outlive most of its competition because the two parts that are most likely to break on you- cartridges and print heads- can be totally serviced in this new model.As for the rest? Again, photo print quality so far just seems "okay". I don't have the highest quality paper, but the prints I'm getting don't blow my socks off. They're perfect for the DVD covers I'm printing, but I don't know if the printer could do a glossy 8x10 family photo at the level people might expect. For document printing though, this is a beast with big tanks. No complaints. And it scans, and has the usual-size paper tray, and it has wireless setup, and it copies... everything you'd get out of a normal all-in-one printer.So far, I'm in love. Does everything my old printer did, hasn't had a single print problem after a dozen full-size photo pages, and I can finally put real ink in my printer. I hope it lasts!
