Go lang book
A comprehensive book on the Go language. Very thick book though. I wish it did not occupy so much space in my library

Can’t download to Kindle app successfully
Whenever I download this ebook to my Kindle for iOS, the app tells me the download is damaged and I should delete it. It’s perfectly legible in my Kindle for macOS app, but not on my iPad. If I could actually read the book where I’d like, I would have given this book a much better review.

Author is conceded
If you can get past the author's ego, it's not a bad book. He writes in first person a lot. And, the database chapter he is nothing less than condescending and arrogant regarding the choice of database.

Decent content, poor binding.
The book has decent content. I won't comment on the authors claims about it being "advanced", as the majority of it is just a good go-over of basic go stuff. But it is comprehensive, and nice to reference certain things and commonly used stdlib packages.Unfortunately, the binding was very shoddy, and my book was falling apart the first day I cracked it open. This is my first purchase from Apress and likely my last.UPDATE: I've since read the digital version. My previous comments stand, decent reference. I wanted to add, however, that much of the code reflects a very....distinct style of the author, particularly the example web app in the end. The example app code there should be followed with a huge grain of salt, or two, and I hope new people learning go don't go writing web apps like that.

Awesome book
I bought this book along with a few others about Go. I only just got around to using this one, and it's clearly one of the best I have. I am well over halfway through and I have learned a lot about important edge cases and have worked through all the examples. The book like others from the author (I have read a few of his c# ones etc) is clear, logical, and well thought out.One improvement I would suggest is that the summary at the end of the chapters includes a bit more of a summary of some of the not-so-obvious things in Golang. But it really is a 5-star book. Obviously, it's for existing developers/people who know how to program. I should have started to use this one sooner as it has filled in a number of gaps that other books don't mention or do not really explain.
