I purchased this one was for plugging my Instant Immersion Heater to AC power source when I wanted to make a cup of coffee on my trips. Most small Instant Immersion Heaters (just enough to boil a cup of water) do not have on/off switches. That would easy to burn up the Instant Immersion Heater and it is easy to get electrical shot when I pull the electric plug off the wall.With this on/off switch, at least it cuts off the electric circuit before I remove the cord connection. This on/off switch also has surge protector function as a bonus. My only comment is to wish this unit a bit smaller to pack in the travel bag.

I like these switches. Now I can control the power to my extension cord without having to plug it in and unplug it.

Very nice switch to plug items into that you want to switch off when not in use and prevent item from using electricity when item.l not in use. I'll observe to see whether or not electric bill cost is lower.

Very basic product. Cheaper than at home depot. Nicely made, not flimsy. The switch is firm and clicky. The only downside in my opinion is that the led is on when you turn the switch on. I use it for lights, and for me, it would be much more useful to see where the switch is in the dark room. It is a very minor inconvenience though.

The items work. Very satisfied.

I use these for decorative neon signs in my office (they don't have switches). These outlets make it easy to switch them off whenever I'm out of the office.

So ridiculously easy to install and use. They work perfectly for turning on my “under cabinet” led lights without having to fiddle with the tiny little switch or yanking the plug out of the wall.

I use these switching plugs to turn off the power to a 100 gallon koi tank filter pump and to an air pump. ( I do this twice a day to prevent the food from being sucked up by the filter, and I use the switch ratherbthan pulling the cords out because the outlet seemed somewhat tenuous and I didn’t want to pull it out of the wall.)The units have an LED light to show when the power is on.They are priced well, and were shipped quickly.

Had the misfortune to destroy my garage door opener when I overloaded a breaker with a couple of portable heaters. Removed the heaters and reset the breaker. The surge destroyed the garage door opener. Research showed this is not uncommon. $300 later with a new opener installed, I bought this surge protector to isolate the garage door opener. No issues installing the one outlet conveniently on the socket on the roof of the garage for the opener. Better than a four/six outlet surge bar etc. Have now installed one of these in each of the garages within our strata complex. $8 is a safe way to save $300.

Have had these now going on a year. They aren't breaking down. Plastic isn't brittle. The switches work in them just fine and the LEDs are still bright and functional. I'm impressed. Good value! :)

It's a nice device for electronics that don't have switches, it also has surge protection. I use it for my water pump connected to a variable adapter 3-24v.

This small inexpensive device can protect your devices and appliances from power surges. Well worth the small investment. I bought two and found them to be so practical I bought two more.

The blue LED light stays on at all times even when the switch is in the OFF position.
