Didn’t work! Beware.
My product (a lightning to usb-c adapter) does not work. After trying with several lightning plugs and several usb-c ports, the adaptor did not work in any of these situations. So back to Amazon it goes. Note that the label on the packaging also misspelled ‘Lightning’.

Make Use of Old Headphones!
I have dozens of older headphones that have the Lightning connector and with iPhone upgrades, I was unable to use my new, out of the box headphones. There are many connectors out on the market for Lightning to USB C but the DO NOT work for audio inputs. This one DOES! Several prior reviewers mentioned that in use, the "connection" gets hot. I have used this numerous times, for 3-hour long plane rides, and have not had any issue with it generating too much heat. It's worked well with my iPhone and iPad. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a cheap way to extend the life of your older headphones.

Works for audio
This works for audio only. It will not charge the phone using the lightning cord, so another smaller connection is required to charge the phone. However, this does work for audio. Sound quality is acceptable.

I ordered this adapter for wired ear buds for iPhone 15 and it works well.

Sound is either ON or OFF
It does work, however, like the title says, you cannot make it any quieter! You can either hear sound, or not. The innability to lower the volume is saddening, as I have sensitive ears, and the volume is quite loud. If you like to blast your music or have bad hearing, this is definitely made for you.Additionally, it is larger than I expected. It is 14.5 cms long. It came in perfect condition and appears to have no defects. The sound quality seems a small bit worse, but I'm unsure if it's just because I don't listen to music this loud. The ports are made of made of plastic (the male C plug is metal, of course).
