Great Replacement Starter
This starter is a perfect replacement for my old starter, works great and good value for the money. I would recommend this product… The 4 star rating on easy to install has nothing to do with the starter itself, but the location on the vehicle, a swivel adapter is a must….

NOTE the angle at which the battery lead attaches, before removing it!
This was a fine product. It works perfectly, and I recommend it.However -- before you take the old starter out, note carefully the orientation of the positive battery lead to the starter. It can only go on ONE way, and it took me several tries to get it right on the new unit, because I didn't note it before removing the old.This is a good starter at a good price.

I put this on a 2001 Mazda B3000 Dual Sport pickup, it’s the same truck as the Ford Ranger. Swapped out easily, everything lined up perfectly and my truck started on the first try. Took me 1 hour, start to finish. Half the price for the part and no shop labor! Would definitely buy again.

Fits 2004 Ford Ranger, 3.0 V6
None of the chain auto parts stores downtown had the right starter for my 04 Ford Ranger. They all had an extra "s" wire that my truck didn't need. I ordered this starter without the "s" wire. And it looked pretty much exactly like the original starter that came off the truck. The new starter arrived quickly and was easy to install. Truck cranked right up as strong as it ever has. I'll report back if any issues arise in the next few years.
