Worth the money, very happy with it
I only paid $130 for this on a flash sale. I've never owned a robot vacuum before so I don't have much to compare it to. I was, and still am, amazed at how well this thing cleans. I've had it for a couple months now.It goes around the chairs and under my kitchen table. It goes over rugs. And, it does a really good job vacuuming. It's so good that I run it every day and only manually sweep/vacuum once a week and my house stays clean all week.I have 2 kids and a black lab plus another, smaller dog. This things sucks up beads and string and so much dog hair everyday. It also does a pretty good job mopping. My house is mostly laminate wood floors and rugs. I fold over the rugs and throw a little pinesol and hot water in and let it go. The mopping streaks a bit when the floor is real dirty. And I have to refill it 3 times in a 1400sq ft area. But, it's so convenient and good enough that I use it to mop when I'm feeling lazy. This won't replace manual sweeping, vacuuming, or mopping. But it's good enough that it'll reduce how much you need to do to keep a house clean. My house is much cleaner, more often, with this. I'll never go without a robot vacuum and mop again. As far as this particular brand and version goes I have seen that there are a lot of these out there now. This one has lasted a couple months with limited care. The battery is good enough to cover 1400sq ft (then it's about dead or does). And it has some programmable times and other settings I really haven't used. This thing is a huge value for the money.

Surprising Little Robot
We've only had it for a few days but it seems to be a great little unit. We called iLife's customer service during the set up to get a few tips. They were fantastic and one of the reasons we chose the robot. Many of the other makers of floor robots do not have any customer service unless you send an e-mail to a place in China. First off, you need to know that if you have both carpet and hard floors, you will need to block off the carpet when using the washing function. Otherwise the robot will try to wash your carpets. iLife does not use block technology or magnetic strips to keep the robot contained in your desired space. That said, the vacuum function works great on hard floors. It will work on low pile carpet, but it's not perfect. We were shocked to see how much it picked up. It picked up dust and small particles, a few dust bunnies that come off our wool area rugs and hair. The dust bin is large so you can do your entire house without having to dump it. The vacuuming goes fast and it will do at least 1800 square feet at one time. It does take a while for the robot to find its way back home, but that is not a problem. Charging did not take long----we didn't time it but it probably took about an hour in the docking station before we could use it again. The washing function does a much better job than I had expected. We put it on pathway mode and the little robot performed fantastically. We had spilled a little grease in the kitchen the night before and we were dubious about the robot getting it up. Well, it did after we ran the unit twice. There were no streaks and we were extremely happy with the results. You are not supposed to put any cleaning solution in the tank, so we just used water. Surprisingly, the water does a great job. The reusable mopping pads only need to be washed out after use and we do it by hand using a little Dawn dishwashing detergent. The pads come clean very easily. You can find videos of how-to on the iLife site that show you how to use and maintain the robot. Altho, we were a little disappointed that there was not much info on the latest V8s model. The good news is that customer service will help you with any questions and they are very knowledgeable. We hope this little robot lasts a good while because it has turned out to be a great helper and time saver. Very happy with the purchase and the price was great.

Great value for price
Pros:-It has good suction.-A noticeable difference In the clean floors-A good way to look like you got your sh*t together as a housekeeper.-holds a charge about two-three hours. That’s a whole lot of vacuuming that you didn’t have to do!Cons:-Leaves streaks when mopping and junk when it moves over a threshold.-the empty bin doesn’t quite empty based on the location of the exit. So there will always be dirt in there unless you use their brush to pick it all out. I skipped that part.-on regular mop it leaves things spilled. You will need to spot mop after in certain areasI live on a cattle ranch. We have one indoor/outdoor cat and 4 cattle dogs that shed. Not to mention the dirt and manure that’s tracked in constantly. For that reason we have no carpet. I have a shark that I adore for vacuuming. However some days it seems that the dirt is ahead of me especially after working cattle and when we have people over. After receiving “Dottie” we plugged her in for a night and started her. She worked several hours before needing charged. I have an open floor plan so my room is actually 4 big rooms. I think she was a bit overwhelmed the first day. Poor girl now knows how I feel. I plugged her in and did all the rooms in my house the first day by charging her and throwing her in a room with the door closed after the main area was complete. She did not clean methodically in certain spots with a big floor plan. However on day two she picked up what she missed the first day. 95% of all the dog hair was cleaned up and I emptied Dottie after each room.Overall I am very pleased with this robot. I plan on scheduling her at nights for vacuuming as mopping you kinda gotta babysit it. When I see “junk” or not that much water coming out I wash the pad and slap it back on rung out. On the video she is set on 2. There are three settings and Input her on 3 always for max water flow.If you are done mopping take off the water compartment and immediately throw away unused water or it will end up leaking it all out when disconnected from machine. Not sure if it leaks while still connected.Empty out regularly when dusting.Fill up and clean rag frequently. Also I added a cleaner fabuloso cleaner and my house smells amazing.Overall I would purchase this and in the future will consider buying another one so Dottie can get some help. It’s nice with a house full of dogs and people that leave their boots on....that I now got technological help when cleaning. Hope she keeps up at our pace of life for years to come!

Simple and Effective- Very Happy with this model
We bought this in 2020 after going through several other models from other manufacturers. Got this one specifically because it does not have a roller brush. Found that ones that did would get destroyed by long hair after a short time. Both previous devices were retuned within 6 months with mangled parts due to hair. (another retailer with a longer return policy) Also had an iRobot model that wouldn't go on our area rug- called support and they suggested 'getting another carpet' (?!?).This one keeps trucking.Robot vacuums have limited capability and I've read some other review that complain about things that frankly are just part of this product type. Here are some of my evaluations base upon the 'cons' others have listed.People's Complaints - Honest evaluation"It's loud" - It's a vacuum and it's compact. If you want it to actually pickup dirt it has to be loud"It gets caught in cords and stuff" - As far as I can tell they all do this. It's automated, so you have to ensure the area is safe for it to operate. If you can't do this, don't get a robot vacuum."no roller/agitator brush" - I found models with them to have limited effectiveness and the maintenance on these was stupidly excessive if you have people with long hair in the house. I had hair actually cut through the soft plastic."Finishes before covering all areas" - They follow intuitive patterns. It's best to run them often so that all areas get covered regularly. The point is you don't have to if you run it regularly."Leaves stuff behind (especially on thicker carpet)" - there are some things a battery operated, automated device just can't do. You will still need to manually vacuum thick carpet occasionally. This model also only comes with a basic remote. I appreciate this over the apps. I can control my vacuum without creating an account and going through the manufacturer's systems. Ridiculous for just wanting to vacuum my house. Some other notes:Automated/robot vacuums require maintenance on a regular basis. Dirt builds up and hair wraps around any moving part. Depending upon frequency of use you'll need to do about 30-60 minutes every 3-9 months. Taking off brushes and pulling off wads of hair. Removing the caster and cleaning it out. Deep cleaning the suction port and dust bin. etc...I tried the mop feature once, but it took more effort than I wanted to put into it... There's a reason why I got a robotic vacuum. I don't like to clean.

Great vacuum give it a try before purchasing one of the expensive brands
Works great for hard floors. Keeps the large items cleaned up daily when you let run a schedule and is great at picking up animal hair. Doesn't have a bristle roller so only picks up dirt from the surface of carpet but it's designed for hard floors, this is just a note that it's not made for carpet. Mopping function works great to get rid of dust, doesn't scrub off stuck on spills but saves your back from having to manually mop the entire floor, just hit the stuck on spots once it's done. Overall it's very comparable to the more expensive brands out there at a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend it.**Edit**After using this for a few months the above is still true but it has a lot of issues returning to the base to recharge, which then completely lets the battery die. You then have to go find it and re-program it completely (it erases the clock and schedule when the battery dies) every time, which makes the automatic feature of this pretty useless. I still recommend it if you're on a budget and don't mind having to babysit it all the time.I upgraded to a Roomba which almost always finds its way back to the base, and since it's app connected the few times it doesn't, it automatically re-programs itself once it's charged.

Pros, Cons, and just wow.
Let me start by saying value is the wrong word because it implies you got something cheaper. This is a better vac for hardwood than expensive robovacs (such as my parents $400+ one) for half the cost.Pros:No brush = higher suction power>ideal for me because my house is all hardwood, gym mats, and a low shag rug so the brush doesn’t do anything for meNo brush = no pet hair clogging brushAdvanced navigation>I wanted a robovac because my parents have one, one of the $400 ones. I initially thought I would have to settle for a random navigation bot but hats off to the engineers who did this one, it goes room by room, edges first, and maps as good as my parents which has a camera and everything. Just goes to show smart software can do just as much as expensive hardwareLips don’t bother it>I have 3/8th inch gym floor matting on top of some hardwood in my office which I assumed it would hit and Bounce off of. Nope, goes right over it like a champ.Well built> I was immediately impressed with the quality of the build.Slows to gently tap items>had a step ladder leaning against the wall and a hard tap at the legs could knock it over. I think it has Infared sensors so it slows and very gently tabs edges and doesn’t knock anything overMop attachmentPrice>are you kidding me? For a mostly/ all hardwood house this will do better than a $400-$600 vac (because no brush and higher suction power). Incredible.Cons:No brush = won’t deep clean carpet>I have all hardwood, doesn’t matter to me but if you have carpet and want it to clean everything, you might have to buy something with a brushNo app for this model-cool remote, no app. Can still program times manuallyDoesn’t mop and vacuum at the same time-I don’t know any that do but it’s definitely worth pointing outConclusion: IF YOU HAVE MOSTLY HARDWOOD THIS IS THE BEST DEAL ON THE MARKET. I’ll have to do a side by side tests with my parents $400 one and see how they compare on hardwood one day. I am just loving my purchase, sometimes if you go cheap you miss out on value but here, your trade off is brand recognition and a brush (which hinders hardwood cleaning, but is good for carpet). You’re still getting high/top end build, suction power, and tracking. Seriously blown away great job to the engineers who built it! I’m an engineer too -!: I really appreciate the thought that goes into this stuff.

4 years and still running!!
I bought this on prime day 2020, because it was on super sale and I didn’t want to fork out the money for a roomba. This little powerhouse has survived 4 different apartments with 3 cats! It’s a little bit dumb so it may not get everything the first time, but it has helped immeasurably with picking up cat hair and litter and all sorts of little bits.I’ve never had to replace the charger or the battery, I have had to get new filters and spin brushes, both of which are cheap and easy to replace. I did drop and break the mopping addition a while back but it worked before that. Overall it has outlasted every expensive robot my mom has bought for herself over the 4 years I’ve had mine. She’s still rocking and if/when she inevitably breaks I’ll buy another one of this exact type.Pros: efficient, not super loud, battery has not noticeably deteriorated in the 4 years I’ve had it, picks stuff up super well.Cons: gets lost occasionally, navigation isn’t the bestOverall, it is the underdog of the robot vacuums and I can’t recommend it enough!

Simple and effective
Pros:- Easy to use- Effective- Does what it says on the tin- Simple controls- Clock setting and schedule setting both easy- Weekly repeating schedule (although no temporary 'disable' setting)- Doesn't need networks, apps or any mucking about- Doesn't send your home location, floor plan or images of your belongings to China (or anywhere else)- Solid build qualityCons:- It can get caught in:- Cables - Make sure they are off the floor or out of the way- Tassles - Make sure rug tassles are out of its way- Curtains - Lift long curtains trailing on the floor- Chair legs - chairs with multiple floor touch points (eg. it might get trapped inside the 'spider' on office chairs with 5 casters)- If unit is placed in 'sleep mode', the unit will restart at the next scheduled time. If the unit it moved to the dock manually, however, the unit doesn't recognise this and will drive itself off the dock sideways.- Hardware 'off' switch will lose clock and schedule if used as 'disable' (eg. when away on holiday or when friends visit), although easy to re-set. I would prefer to see a method for disabling the unit without losing the clock and schedule settings.- Its mapping is a little 'dumb' (or 'thorough', depending on your perspective), which makes it somewhat inefficient, revisiting portions of rooms several times- Can 'nudge' open doors towards their closed positions and might drive doors fully closed in some circumstances (can be resolved with magnetic door stops or catches)- Some manual vacuuming / cleaning still required (eg. in corners, behind doors, etc)Power supply is universal voltage wall-wart with US pins. An adapter may be needed.Overall, an impressive utilitarian unit, with simple and reliable functionality.

Brilliant robot vac much better than expected for the low price
This is a brilliant robot vacuum. I have found it to be much better than I expected for the low price. It really does a great job in my apartment and the amount of dust it managed to suck out of what I thought was a relatively clean carpet was amazing. I recommend this product.

Suction is good
Great, can’t believe how much it picks up
