When I saw these clippers I wasn't sure they could do the job, they are only an inch or so larger than my regular clippers and so light...I thought my thick nails would kill them first try. I was wrong, they were just the right length for me to reach my nails on my bad leg, the light weight was very helpful for my weak arms and they cut all my nails easily.They are great for the elderly or handicapped

And they don't break like the plastic version I had. The plastic ones worked well on fingernails but one pair broke on a thick toenail. I see others have had the same problem.
