I purchased this monitor so my son would be exposed to less EMFs. I really like it. The night mode is great, I did have to fiddle with it a little to get the night mode to work. I use a sound machine for my son so at first it wasn’t going into night mode because it was too loud in his room I assume. But I put the monitor on the other side of the room from the sound machine and faced it toward the wall and waited for the parent unit to go into night mode. Then I slowly turned up the sound machine up to his typical sound level to see if the monitor would stay in night mode and was able to get it working with night mode. There is also a high and low setting for 50 or 60 decibels so I switched to the 50. My son normally wakes up and starts talking and that’s how we know he is awake and we can hear it in the monitor, the monitor is a little quiet but son doesn’t really talk loud right when waking up and I’m a light sleeper. I do wish it was a little louder when night mode turns off but again I don’t have a problem with it because I am a very light sleeper, my husband is a different story, so the monitor stays on my side of the bed. I would recommend this monitor.

I’m pretty annoyed. The ability to speak over the audio monitor into our babies room was so important to us so I could converse with my husband while he’s in our babies room and Vice versa. Today the button that you push in order to speak to the receiver in our nursery just stopped working completely. We’ve barely been using these for a month. Of course we are TWO DAYS outside the return window. Ugh! Waste of money. Gonna have to buy completely new ones.

This was great for the few months I had it then one day the monitor glitched and stopped working. Would love to buy another but I’m hesitant now because I recall seeing a few reviews saying similar things.

Plugged both parent and baby unit in to charge and neither one held a charge for more than a few hours. When the battery dies, the parent unit beeps (LOUD) .It woke me up at 4:30 AM and there's no off button on the parent unit so I had to bury it under my clothes in my laundry hamper. As a side note, the buttons are hard to find and are labeled very poorly so if I needed to soothe and speak to my child, I would have to fumble around the sides of the unit to find the "talk" button (try doing this in the middle of the night)! I returned this and hope to find one with a simpler, better design.
