Got a 1/2" inch difference in your floor surface and you don't want to jamb your toes? Then get this. We hunted for this one because most reducers / transitions strips are lower dimension / profile. This was what we needed. The bad part? The tape that is on it didn't barely stick at all. I had to apply caulking and weigh it down flat for 24+ hours to keep it from curling. No biggie. It serves us well.

It's thick and sturdy. The only problem I have is that it won't stick to the floor like I hoped it would. Did have to tack it down

The glue is not strong enough to stick to a wood floor that was properly cleaned prior to use. The adhesion wasn’t even strong enough for initial installation, let alone the pressure applied from foot traffic. This is a terrible product and should be recommended.

I bought knowing that some folks said glue on tape won't stick. Confirmed ... I tried all suggestions on laying flat for 24 hours and clean surfaces. My installion was for transition from carpet to tile. I even tried weights for 24 hours. I ended up having to use a rubber cement to get it to stay. Giving a 3 Star because the trim material seams to be a good cost effective strip

Easy installation that required no more than a good pair of scissors. Hasn’t peeled up, even in a commercial setting.

I loved this, worked great and was easy to install. However, since it comes rolled up the first edge has a good curve in it. I tried to roll it out and get the curve straightened but it didn't work much so I installed it. Shortly after, I noticed that edge started to curve off the floor. I should have placed something heavy on to prevent it from curving but the adhesive seemed to be working. Lesson learned.

I washed and cleaned area (lvt) dried area., just doesn't want to stay down.
