Great handy instrument
This instrument is handy for measuring force. The readings are fairly linear and accurate for higher loads however, for smaller loads this tends to be less linear and a bit inaccurate. For this price, it is a good deal. It can also be indirectly used for measuring torque etc.

A handy little meter for reading force. Triple check your order.
The meter functions as it supposed to and it comes with a nice protective case for it in the accessories. My main issue comes from the fact that the listing wasn’t really clear about which scale I was going for. I wanted the smaller precision 50 N device and ended up getting the 500 N one and it’s not accurate at all for smaller forces. If you’re dealing with a precision tasks like computers or knives, this will not suffice. It’s great for things like a automotive application.Clearly the mistake was mine but I thought I did everything to make sure I was getting the more precise unit at the 50 Newton limit. But I end up with the 500 N limit which will not work at all for my tasks. I would ask that the vendor makes the distinction much more clear on the listing. Or list the units separately. The build quality seems very good and it definitely seems to provide accurate measurements at a high force range. It will allow you to do push and pull which is handy. And unlike many small devices you buy this actually came with a very good case to protect it.I would note that it comes with a variety of useful tips and accessories. Various tips and hooks and an extension rod that attached to the end of the probe. The unit itself really is solidly built and it comes with a calibration card. One thing I am thinking is that because it’s digital it is trivial to allow you to switch between SI and imperial units. this unit allows you to select between pounds and ounces and kilograms. Not all devices do this so this is a mark in his favor. I guess because it is the 500 Newton model it doesn’t do CGS.
