Casing ONLY.
My situation was the key blade itself breaking off from the original fob. With this product I was able to drop the pin in the blank key (with some difficulty) and replace it with the old -original key.The body of this product is relatively easy to open up in order to place the old circuit board into the new fob.As easy as opening this product was, opening the original GMC fob to remove the board was another story. I ended up using a dremel to cut (more like melt) the GMC fob to get to the board.Very pleased with this inexpensive product and solution even if getting the original open was a pain.Great product for the price. Lacks only the GMC logo. Who cares?

Garbage!
The buttons are too small if you are using your old key blade, I couldn't get these shells to work with my existing key blade. I returned these and bought a different brand with success.

Work great good replacement
Oh boy is hard to break open the old key but the new key to transfer the chip was easy enough but super tough to break open OG key factory key to transfer the transponder chip To use to put the old key together was really difficult, had to drill it and that was hard as wellbut the new key was perfectly fine

Looks good, but not exact fit even though it said it was.
Overall it works, the push buttons work which is the main concern. But the silver button you push to release the key has a slightly different mechanism notch design that does not work with the original actual metal key part. I was able to close it but now it's either always open or almost closed. More disappointed as I thought it was going for it to be an exact match but I guess for $9 you get what you pay for. Lol

inexpensive fix, but not very easy to install
I got it done, but it took a lot longer to do that expected. Cosmetically it looks fine, I may have put a little too much tension on the spring but it works fine.Where the key ring attaches must be a little thicker than original, because the ring I was using fits too tightly now. I disliked having to swap out the key mount. Punching out the spring pin on the key was no fun. The product would be worth twice the $ if they only put in the effort to make the original key mount fit the replacement. I used a nail set to get the spring pin started, and then a 1/16 drill bit to finish it. The original came out easier than the replacement, in fact the replacement pin broke and I used the original pin in the replacement. If I have to do it again, I will likely see if I can get someone to cut the replacement key so I can avoid that spring pin issue.

Easy to swap after the battle with the O.E one ..
The OEM one is a battle to take apart but just break it since the only part you need to re-use is the circuit board.

Easy Peasy
Just go to you tube and watch the video. Change the key, easy to program

Great if it matched up
The key doesn’t match up with the new shell. I wanted to just move the motherboard & key from the old one but the key button won’t work. I will have to see if the key can be cut & how much that will cost me. Not what I wanted to do.

Great replacement
A bit tricky to disassemble old unit. Follow on line hints for spring winding. Works great as replacement.

Same design but not exact and worked perfectly
One of the rubber unlock buttons on the original FOB got a hole 🤔in it from wear and tear I guess and there’s no fixing or replacement rubber pad as it’s part of the keyless case from factory. Took a long time to try to open /destroy the case of the original as I wasn’t saving parts from it except the flip key and it’s really built right and swear it’s glued shut! The new one comes with blank/ uncut key which you toss away and it comes with a new compression pin, spring and swivel star thingy. I looked online for process to get compression pin out of old FOB and had to prefab a pin remover out of a Brad nail that I had ground down to tap the roll pin out. Once out I split open the new case and placed parts back into( circuit board, spring , key , compression pin supplied, battery, star thingy- release button ) note that you have to put star into holder, then the spring and the key must be turned -( while holding case almost fully closed) one revolution like winding a clock do the spring has tension to flip the key out once case is closed. I believe it was one full clockwise turn of key while holding everything from coming apart and then snapped case together.. pushed the release button and out it flipped 👍🏼G/f is very happy she has her second FOB working again as her backup. In summary it’s very hard to get old case apart, and need a very small roll /compression pin device to get it out and back in and remember to turn the key in holder before snapping closed .. and make certain you have small battery holder- metal spring holder in place before closing case as well, new case is less rigid and yet works perfectly at this point concern might be that it pops open if dropped on hard surface but so far so good. 👍🏼 A drop of crazy glue on a couple spots might help

No instructions and cheap
The media could not be loaded. They sent no instructions and I broke one of the buttons on the main board, so now panic button. But once assembled it is loose compared to the old one. Just feels cheaply made. And the button doesn’t stick out as far. So I can close it, but need to pry it open.

Works as expected
This little shell saved me some $$. The hardest part of the whole swap was getting the original one apart without any damage. The next hurdle was the spring in the button for the switchblade key…..pain in the…. Once you get past that, it all just snaps together. Couldn’t have asked for any more, Thanks!
