Firstly, this is not a Proster device, there are no marking 9r indications on the packaging or metre instructions relating to Proster. Also the device made by Proster tells you the minimum, current and maximum speed measured from each reading, this device do not do that it merely give you the current speed.The accuracy of this device is debatable it says 5% tolerance for wind, at a steady 10mph on a calibrated anonemeter this device is reading both above and below and the readings are upto 20% difference so that is 150% outside of tolerance.My advice, do not buy, spend and extra tenner and get something that might as well be £10 pet go of in the wind. A waste of money

Hi,in the product description it said in that the device i.e.the anemometer had a High pressure sensor ( but There isn't one )on the device and I assumed this meant barometric pressure I cannot see any evidence of that on device or in instructions i quote from the description on the Amazonwebsite: Product description Features:High precision pressure sensor. But it should no High Pressure Sensor as is no evidence of one..Regardsbigboots.

This looks like a fairly good piece of kit given the low price, unfortunately the one I received was reading around 10 degrees C higher than it actually was. I reluctantly returned it for a refund.****Update****Having received a replacement which is working perfectly i can confirm that the one i received originally was faulty, probably damaged in transit. Changed my rating to from two to five stars and would recommend.

Simply, it severely under reads. I bought this to use in various roles during sailing events etc. Having tested it against a proper fixed set, it was showing half the wind speed reading of the fixed one. I now understand why I was getting puzzled responses down the radio when stating what the wind speed was upwind on the race course.

Really impressed with the wind gauge - bought it to put with my drone kit as too much wind can kill the enjoyment - thought this was almost too cheap but arrived the next day and it works like a charm - +/- 5% error rate is fine by me.. very worth while.

Second review; despite being virtually unused the product has now failed completely. It does not function as required at all. It may be past the normal return window but that does not relieve the seller of their obligations under the Sale of Goods Act.There is little to say for it beyond the fact that it was cheap. I would have preferred an item which is easier to use, more efficient, and gives more confidence in its accuracy, even if it cost more.

Great bit of kit ,wind speed and temperature were priority for flying my drone ,this handheld gauge is exactly for the job ,thanks seller well packed and delivered on time .

I have just started to use this unit, it seems to work OK however it records the average wind speed and displays it on the LCD screen but does not store it. The maximum wind speed is recorded displayed and stored until it is exceeded. As for the wind chill that is only displayed at O degree Celsius and below according to the instructions.
