Can this be worn over a onesie in the car seat safely?

It’s not comfortable in the car seat.., I tried it for my baby…

How many inches is the newborn size from shoulder to heel?

I’m not sure I bought it for my granddaughter! If it’s for a new born to 3 months you should be ok! I hope this helped you out!

Is this warm enough for a stroller in below freezing weather without a bunting bag over it?

While it is very warm, if its below freezing weather I would recommend having a bunting bag.

My baby is due in january and i want to get this to take her home in. should i buy newborn or 0-3 months?

Yes because babies grows pretty fast if you get newborn size you will most definitely have to purchase another it's best to get the 0-3months
