Almost worked but would not program successfully
I had to try programming the 6 buttons dozens of times to get them to work at all… when I finally got them doing the correct function they generated multiple presses - ie. the up ch button would always jump 2 channels, the up volume would jump 10, the down volume would jump 5. There was no way I could have my elderly mother use this even though I truly tried to get it to work. I finally gave up and returned the controller. Too bad, as this potentially would be a good product.I was trying to learn for controlling a Hisense Google TV.

Works but...
This works well for simplifying functions. The only thing that would make it better is if the the volume and the channel buttons were different colors. Glowing in the dark would be nice too but it wasn't super necessary for my purposes. Its surprisingly difficult to find options for this type of product and honestly I think it's priced high but if it fits what you need, then get it bc it does work. It is an absolute pain to set up though. I have set up a few remotes like this and this one is kind of a pain. It comes with instructions and you can watch the video here. The instructions are worded a bit oddly but simple enough to follow. It just took me awhile to program the functions. You have to "teach" this simplified remote from your original remote... each function... Thankfully there are only 6. You have to hold the buttons down longer than the instructions suggest and I didn't always get the confirmation blinks or whatever that were supposed to happen but after 30 or 45 mins, I finally got it programmed. It is an older tv but it looks like others had the same issue, with some even giving up. Like I said bc of the lack of options, if this is what your looking for get it. Just know that it is annoying and more time consuming than it should be to setup.

Excellent for keeping things simple.
I bought these for my elderly uncle whose original TV remote just had too many buttonsbuttons that he would never use. Very easy to program using the original remote. Power, volume up, volume down, channel up, channel down, and mute, is all he needs. Great product.

Didn't work
I have had several learning remotes in the past and I bought this one for my mother since it's simple to use and has big buttons. That said, it's awkward to program and after well over an hour with no luck I can honestly rate it one star.

Not just for seniors!
Most universal remotes require you to enter codes for the devices you are controlling and are overly complicated – there are far more buttons than you need, and some universal controls don’t work with everything. For example, I have a TV with a Chromecast adapter and an external Denon amplifier. The Chromecast remote will turn the TV on and off, control volume and input, and do everything I need except turn the amplifier on and off. So I have this big Denon remote control for just one button. In addition to having big buttons, the Zieziii remote solves this problem. I programmed a button for the amplifier power, three for the Vizio TV volume and mute, and two more for a lamp that has an IR remote to turn it brighter or dimmer. It doesn’t take the place of your factory remotes for everything, but the ability to control the six most common functions, across multiple devices, is great. Devices have to use IR signals and it is line of sight, although the powerful emitter on this remote works fine if I point it at the ceiling and let the signal bounce. If you want to simplify your life or combine some IR controls, this is a great device. I’ll be getting another one for my office where I have a Roku TV for music streaming and a Vizio TV for a monitor and don’t need the clutter of all those buttons and remotes. Not just for seniors!
