Accurate and easy to both use and see the display
I hesitated to purchase this based on reviews saying it was inaccurate, after testing I found it to be very accurate. I received it today and tested for about 30 minutes. I tested against a Bosch GLM 30 (the older version with 5 buttons) at varying distances from 4 feet to 30 feet and 6 inches to 2 feet. The GLM 30 is dead on as accurate (or more so) as tape measure. Testing side by side I found the SUAOKI to be within 5/64 of an inch of the Bosch GLM 30 from 4 feet to 30 feet. Measuring 6 inches to 2 feet I found that under a foot the SUAOKI could be as much as 1/4 inch off. That's less than 1/8 of inch difference at 4 feet and greater and around 1/4 inch at less than a foot, this unit is accurate enough to suit my needs. (note at 2 feet and 18 inches it was dead on). Please note I used varying surfaces as targets, smooth, textured, dull, reflective, flat and even a round bamboo pole. What I like about it:1) The display is black with white numbers/symbols. This makes it much easier to read than a backlit display like on the Bosch GLM 30 (especially since that backlit display will go off after a few seconds, very annoying)2) You can manually select the reference point to be either the front of the unit or the back.3) The buttons are Large and Responsive, easy to press, easy to see.4) The display is in Decimal not Fractions, If I need fraction measurements I use the Bosch GLM 30.5) You can easily switch from feet to inch to meters, just hold down the units button and it cycles through them.6) Size Its just slightly longer than the GLM 30 other than that is the same so it fits nicely in the Leatherman nylon pouch I wear on my belt. Exact dimensions 4.33 x 1.57 x 0.98 in.Overall I found this to be accurate, easy to use and perhaps best of all easy to see the display. I needed something that read in Fractions and this does that. In fact I find it much easier to use than the Bosch but not quite as accurate. The only thing that could make this better is if you could switch it back and fourth from measuring in Fractions and Decimals. That would make it perfect.Note: I have had this only one day and can not attest to it's durability or longevity. Also I did not use the batteries that came with the unit. I put Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA in it.

Great Tool!
This tool has saved me so much time over using a standard tape measure. You can measure a room in under a minute as opposed to several minutes with a traditional tape measure. Also you can measure a room without a helper. This thing has a memory (up to three, I think) so you don't have to immediately write the measurements down. It also has a level built in. You can measure from the back or the front of the tool as well.

Great device but doesn't do fractions
This measure works very well. I have not done any long distance measuring on it, only distances under 50 feet, but it has worked flawlessly. One thing that I do not like, though, is that it displays everything in decimal, no fractions. You'll get a reading of 6.5 feet instead of 6-1/2ft or, if you set it to inches, you'll get 76.125 inches, instead of a fraction. It seems very accurate, though.

Great little unit for quickly measuring rooms accurately. MUCH better than ultrasonic ones, and 3 great features...
Love this little unit for quickly measuring rooms accurately. Was initially hesitant to buy consider previous experiences with ultrasonic measuring devices. SO glad we tried this. There’s modes for distance, sq ft, and volume as you’d expect, though the best things were the accuracy, the ability to continuously measure, and the ability to factor out unit size (enables you to just place back of unit against wall). Usual caveat measuring wall to windows (don’t) as it can both be inaccurate as well as potentially bounce the laser beam back at you.

Don't shake.
Product arrived on time and seems well made. The level bubble is next to useless because it is so small. The product guide is also next to useless unless you use a magnifying glass ( manual is 3 1/8 inch by 4 1/8 inch and the print size is like 2 pt. How about an 8" x 11 " full page manual with larger print. Seems almost impossible to get an accurate reading if hand held. Has to be put on a secure surface because when you push button to record distance you move laser pointer, the greater the distance measured, the greater the fluctuation as laser jumps all over. No case or lanyard.Overall operation is easy, but again, unit must be motionless to get correct distance; hard to do by hand holding. I would suspect that this is not because of this Manufacturer, but would an inherent problem with these laser measuring devices in general, I was measuring a distance of 70 feet and it took numerous tries to get a good reading, as evidenced by using my old fashioned 20 foot tape measure. Item is not bad, but not great.

Good Product at an attractive price - Meets my needs.
I've found it useful and accurate enough for my needs. I do audio-visual production, and I use this on site visits to estimate screen sizes/projection distance, as well as to specify cables and drape. I haven't calibrated it, and I didn't see that there is a way to do that, but for my needs, it's perfect. Attractive price point, seems sturdy enough, and is comfortable to hold and use. It's solid enough and attractive enough I feel confident using it in front of a client, but is inexpensive enough I'm not going to break the bank if it gets stolen or left behind on a job site. It's not a Bosch or other big name brand, but it meets my needs.

Way off
Mine is not even close to accurate. It’s consistently off by anywhere from 1/4 to 3/4 inch. The last time I tried it on a 24” measurement and I got 24.75. Must’ve gotten a dud beacause it seems to work fine for most

Wow excellent product and price.
Most accurate laser measure I have ever used. I do a lot of inspections, and the other brands don't cut the mustard. This one is super reliable and accurate. Easy to use. Right out of the box with no instructions I was using all functions like I owned it for years. Idiot proof. I put a screen protector to help with scratched and I wish battery had a different hook up as time will tell if battery hook up will not break from usage but other than that you can't beat it.

Really good but be aware.....
Initially I thought this was absolutely great... but note that the 2mm accuracy is exactly that..... even if the measuring distance is down to its minimum range..... for example, a known distance of 500mm will / could read as 502mm...... OK, for such small distances you would probably use a tape measure but one of the reasons I wanted the laser measure was due to its fairly easy one handed operation.... not always easy with a normal tape measure. Problem is 2mm inaccuracy when dealing with small measures can be significant/ important. That said, I would still not be without this recent addition to my tool kit..... I am now just a little less carefree in when to use it. :)

Highly useful
Once you understand how the +- function works, this unit is perfect for anyone ever needing to measure, add measurements together or subtract them from each other. Very useful how it can calculate several lengths, as well as standard measure it. It is small, compact and feels solid.
