Zeroll #12 3 oz. Blue End Cap Aluminum Zerolon Ice Cream Scoop

Excellent product, makes the task of scooping out ice cream from frozen storage a breeze. Wish I got this item years ago, would have saved a lot of bent spoons.

Product provides a comfortable fit to hand. Handle is long to provide the torque to easily scoop hard packed ice cream. Ice cream releases easily from scoop. Product features and finish are smooth, shiny, easy to clean and has a professional appeal.

This scoop cuts through frozen ice cream easily and delivers a perfect looking serving on a cone or in a bowl.

I was indeed stoked to find there was a product out there that seemed to permit perfect scoops of ice cream with the frozen tundra that comes right out of the freezer! What a boon to me, a take-home Cold Stone regular... not only that, but the science behind it was sound and interesting. Did I mention it would also let me scoop hard ice cream? Got it, and tested it immediately on a tub that was right out of the freezer and solid. Followed instructions to the letter... Unfortunately, it wasn't that impressive. It's not magic. It just allows the scoop business end to glide through the upper 1/2" or so of hard ice cream a bit faster than a normal scoop. You can feel the cold seep into the freon in the handle as the scoop makes its way through the ice cream, which is neat. But my hand heat, at the recommended spot in the recommended way, doesn't make scooping magic as I thought it might. Perhaps with a few minutes air time, good ice cream will soften enough to allow carte blanche scooping, in real spherical scoops. With Cold Stone it takes only about a minute or so in 80 degF weather (I'm in Hawaii) to be soft enough for this Zeroll to make its perfect-shape 3" orbs with. But it does NOT, repeat, does NOT let you glide through hard ice cream as effortlessly as you think. I'm a pretty big guy, and I have to work the Zeroll to get a scoop, just a little less than if I'd used a normal scoop, and a lot more than if I'd waited 2 mins. :/ Still, nice quality. I find a short dab with warm water in the scoop, allows it to work better (do NOT use hot water for too long, or the scoop can spew freon liquid all over, from what I've read about dishwasher incidents here). Pros: Little less effort with rock-hard ice cream. Nice build quality. Cons: Not the miracle product you may think it is, but it does what claims -- reduces effort. A little. Conclusion: I wouldn't buy one again at its price point. But with its quality, won't need another one for a long time either. :)

This is the best scoop I’ve ever owned. The size is perfect and I’m able to grip the handle right without it slipping. It glides smooth when scooping. I don’t have to fight against anything. I recommend this scoop as your forever scoop.

I bought this scooper cause my old one started peeling off metal chunks....i was skeptical of the comments but after buying it....i'm actually very impressed....works as stated. So weird how it works.

This is a beautiful and considered design that is timeless and enjoyable. Innovative warming feature is hard to discern if it actually works... I think you have to be a pro scooper scooping lots of ice cream to notice this feature kicking in, but I love the idea. The scoop shape does the job nicely with no strain on your wrist. This is my second time purchasing this as someone put it in the dishwasher and you can't do that. we had one of these growing up at home and its always been my favorite ice cream scoop .

They have a reputation for being the best and from my experience that is fully deserved. I was tired of cheaper ice cream scoops breaking or not really working until the ice cream was softer. This is milled from a solid piece of what I think is aluminium. It’s solid, excellently made and works perfectly. The special fluid in the handle (I was cynical) actually does transfer the heat so the ice cream melts in a very fine layer on the surface so it works straight from the freezer and gives a lovely round scoop. I can’t imagine ever needing another scoop, and I expect this will last decades, so as a lifetime investment it’s actually not bad value.

As it should be, it's made of polished aluminium so i melts hard ice-cream easy and makes perfect round balls. Because it is made of aluminium, don't put it in the dishwasher! Only wash by hand with warm water. If some one complain about it getting a bad colour and a matt surface, they put it in the dishwasher. Don't do that, it will kill the aluminium. The body is solid aluminium but the handle is not solid, that's the only thing I can "complain" about. I'm very happy with it and don't understand why I spent so much money on bad scoops before I got this one. Its worth the money!

Great tool for crafting perfect ice cream balls, and they fall off the scooper easily without having to constantly wet or wash the scooper. Great investment.
