I first heard about this company through a segment on NPR this past winter/spring. Like many US medical manufacturers, they began increasing production to help meet the needs of the pandemic in early 2020. But the FDA barred these US companies from selling their FDA approved PPE to the general public (because hospitals needed PPE). But hospitals buy in bulk from oversees... so Demetech and other US brands were forced by the Trump administration to suffer, while cheap Chinese garbage flooded this website. Thankfully, thankfully, that failed policy was removed, so that we could buy these great quality, US made products.The fit is perfect. The material is light enough, and breathable. Some other cheap brands fall apart after an hour or two -- these do not. These last much, much longer.

Read about this company in New York Times. One of a few domestic mask manufacturers that stepped up during Covid. These masks are definitely the highest quality disposables that I've tried.

These masks are just as expected: surgical quality masks. It is good to have Level-3 protection from a mask, and still be able to be understood when speaking. They have a fairly good filter without being so thick or tight as to hinder breathing or speaking. Two thumbs up from me!Edit: After wearing the masks for an extended time, I am even more pleased. They are very comfortable, fit well, and are durable.

These masks have the shortest ear loops that I have ever tried and I have used many brands with ASTM level 3 protection. I experienced pain on my ears in less than 30 minutes of wearing. Definitely not for me. Maybe they could work for kids 5-10years old. The material is very thin. I feel less confident about the protection it claims to provide.

I wear a mask 8+ hours per day at work. These masks last for days of use (I rotate the ones I use so they can sit for 3 days and dry out properly). The masks provided by my employer would start to tear apart like a tissue after a day of use, they smelled funny and they hurt my ears.These are easily worth the higher price as they are comfortable and sturdy, and that bendy piece on the nose helps prevent my glasses from fogging up.

I was wearing an N95 mask just before these arrived. The N95 made it almost impossible to breathe easily in an indoor setting, like the post office or supermarket. And I hate the head and neck bands, which make putting the masks on and taking them off tedious and difficult. My mask was just too tight. I was so happy to learn - from The NY Times - that I could buy a level 3 disposable, surgical mask. I find these to be more substantial than any others I've tried. The ear loops really are soft and pliable, so you can knot the ends for a snug fit. I like to keep mine on a lanyard around my neck. Easy on, easy off. I just ordered 2 more boxes.

I bought these for myself and the child sized ones for my kid. I picked these over other surgical masks because they were made in USA and ASTM level 3. They are a thicker mask and have no smell. The freebie surgical masks I get from my job have a chemical smell and are so thin. The ones from my job also are the same texture on the inside and outside of the mask. After being spoiled by these masks I don't even use the free ones at work.All of my masks have the Demtech logo and no holes like some of the reviews here- see the attached pic with both the adult and child sizes. I'll continue to buy these as we run out for my family.

Masks seem to be hit or miss. Often the reviews are contradictory and you never quite know what you will get until you try it on for yourself. For me, these masks hit the sweet spot. They are made in the USA, though don’t know if components are from USA. Most of all, they fit me particularly well. I have a fairly short beard but this one still seals well and just “feels right”. Unfortunately, your results may vary since face shapes are so variable. But these masks probably stand a good chance of working for you.
