If you meant the sink waste underneath the sink bowl, then No. You just push it into the sink waste. However, there is a rubber on the connection with the sink overflow at the top. Hope thos answers your question. Thanks.

What is the depth of the rectangle piece at the top? (Measured front to back)

Sorry it's already in place, where the only way I could measure it, would be to remove it. All I can say it fits a standard sink.
