perfect bench for my foyer
this bench was exactly what I was looking for for our foyer. I put it together myself. the only downfall I have is the screws would not fit properly in the holes to hold the front bottom bar to the legs. the wood is "cheaper" so I was afraid to use a drill for fear it would bust the wood. I used wood glue in the holes & seems to work just as good.

Instructions say it takes 10 min. to assemble - it takes longer! Not hard to do, just takes longer.
Nice bench. Very sturdy. Four comments:1. Instructions say it takes 10 minutes to assemble - it takes longer! I am pretty good at assembling things and once I had the parts laid out it took about 25 minutes to assemble.2. The instructions also "Tools Required for Assembly (included): None." It is hard to know what this means as an allen wrench was included in the box but a screwdriver was not. That's not a big deal, but it is rather unclear.3. In one step you use some glue (included) to glue the side arms into predrilled holes in the seat. That is fine. However, the holes in the seat have been completely painted, so I highly doubt the glue will have an effect.4. The bottom of the legs are 1 1/2 inches (about 37 mm) in diameter. The box includes pads to put on the bottom of the legs, but the pads are only 3/4 inches in diameter.All that being said, I would buy another of these if I needed one. And the assembly is not hard, it just takes longer than the instructions state.

The first one I received was damaged. I contacted them and they first said they would offer 15% off but said that I wanted a new seat sent to me because the damage was extensive enough it would give splinters. They said that wasn’t possible but they would send me a new bench entirely. Was happy they stood behind their word and a new bench arrived. It’s beautiful and perfect for our mud room and my kids to use to take on and off all the snow gear.
