This stain was so easy to use, and I loved the easy clean-up!!It really is so easy to work with. I loved the sheerness of this stain also.A great product!!!

After using another stain that did not give me the look I hoped for, I took a chance on this one; best decision ever. It was SO easy to use, only needed 2 coats (1 coat looked nice too), and it was the color I wanted. I got a quart and still have some left over. I couldn't help but wonder if the first coats of stain were the reason the color went well, but the arms of the swing had not been previously stained.. I put 2 coats of this stuff on them and it was a perfect match. Will come back here if I need stain! BTW, following up with Beeswax after makes it shine beautifully.

So much stain for the price. I have more than 3/4 after doing a decently large area in my living room. Just purchase a Styrofoam brush to lay down the stain, a regular paint brush will smear the stain

Update! A couple of months later, all of the money I spent on this stain and all my work was a waste. The color vanished as soon as the summer sun hit the porch. Now I'll be forced to redo everything. I'm terribly disappointed!Original review: My unfinished deck was past due for a good finishing. I had used a few big brands in previous homes and was always disappointed with the results. This finish is exactly what I had been looking for. The product has no odor unless you put your nose in the jar, and even then you can barely smell anything. It feels closer to an ink than a stain and nothing like a a paint. I would be shocked if it ever flaked. It absorbed fast and dried in minutes. I was planning on a second coat, but the wood grain came through so beautifully that I was happy after one coat. I used a good paintbrush for application. I could not be more pleased.

applied 6 coats of stain along with clear coat. within time lost 90% of its color. Needed to paint it solid black with paint to make it decent.

I liked this stain, the color was beautiful but definitely different from what was pictured. It's supposed to be a light walnut but was definitely more orange toned but still worked well for my project. It does have a strong smell which I was surprised because it's advertised as no odor so just be aware of that if you are sensitive to strong smells. It also does not clean well off your hands like a traditional water based stain, wear gloves or it will take days to wash it off your skin. Overall it's a nice stain, goes on smoothly and shows the wood grain beautifully.

The stain which I got in the color black is wonderful! It lets you control how dark it goes on, but will almost work like a paint if you let it set a while. If you want a lighter look just immediately wipe it off. Also, the fact that it has no VOCs is, great as I cannot handle the ones that do. They always make me sick and I end up getting migraines. Water base makes it super easy clean up!

I am incredibly Pleased with this product. I restore clocks & antiquities. On raw antique wood it is perfect. The depth of color is exactly what I want. Deep, dark and nondescript. I have run a few tests to see its compatability with older "ink" type stains and it is fairly PH neutral which is exactly what a restoration specialist needs- I am gobsmacked.* I will order again. This is far cheaper than India Ink and just as stable, deep color & indistinguishable. The heavy duty container is definitely a plus.Some times I stumble across a product and take a risk.
