Exactly what I needed
I owe you people some money my daughter had accidentally cancelled your order helping me out so how can I make this right?

Mercury as in the metal, not the auto or marine manufacturer...
I was surprised to see how many boat parts came up when searching for a mercury switch... These are LIGHT DUTY mercury switches capable of carrying a load heavy enough to energize a small relay... Though I couldn't find any electrical specifications on them when I purchased them, that was my intended purpose... I turned what used to be a tactile PC board switch into basically a tilt sensor... I'm not sure how many watts it would take to vaporize the mercury inside the switch but I don't think a small relay would do it... They worked perfectly for my intended purpose though I was looking for a bit larger version initially... Like what used to come inside the analog HVAC thermostats of old, a mercury switch mounted to a bimetallic strip... This is a micro-version of those...

I wish the leads were thicker to handle more current.
Works great. I wish the leads were a little larger to handle more current, they are tiny. For five volt applications there won't be any problems, but for 12 volts in a car I don't know how much current the leads can handle safely. They are thick enough for a small LED hood light but that's it.

Easy to install
I would say I am barely a beginner at soldering, and these were simple to install. Getting the old switch out that I was replacing was a challenge, based on my skill level, but that has nothing to do with this product.I replaced switches in my three garage tilt sensors (see before and after pictures), and they have worked 100% of the time since the upgrade. I'm certain there are 100+ use cases for this product that are beyond my imagination or skill level, but I can recommend these based on their reliability so far.

Exactly as described
Shipping was faster than expected, packaging was nice and airtight, the tilt switches are larger than expected. I am looking forward to learning how to use them in different applications and will be ordering from them again

Up is "on"...very thin leads
I hope to supply some details that are lacking in the description. These switches are smaller than I anticipated based on the pictures. The mercury makes contact when the bulb is in the up position (leads down), so if you need that reversed, you have to bend the leads around the bulb. The leads are very thin and I suspect will handle about 20mA max current. The thinness of the leads is also a factor in how fragile they are.

Better than the ball type
Swapped out my ball time switch with this and works much better. Ball type occasionally hangs and this doesn't.
